This well-managed park has plenty of outdoor experiences to offer. We enjoyed hiking some trails and seeing some of the waterfalls. They have done an excellent job of making it easy to see and get close to the main attraction, Blackwater Falls. We took the...More

This is a don't miss adventure! Got to hike and see so many beautiful falls. Easy hike to Blackwater Falls as long as you can do steps. For a little more adventure, hike to the bottom of Elakala. Two sets of falls there to see....More

Even though my significant other and I are avid hikers, we only came to this state park to see Blackwater and Elakala Falls. The latter will require some, not much, scrambling, and the former is an easy walk down some steps to an overlook point....More

Amazing area. Lots of steps down to the main falls, but worth the hike. Also have a handicap accessible viewing area.

We had not been to Blackwater Falls for a few years and we were happy with the updates. I walked down to the bottom and back. It was beautiful!

I really enjoyed this state park! The falls were stunning, with snow on the ground and icicles forming off the rocks around the falls. I would love to see the sweeping valleys when the trees are vibrant and green, but still a great visit!

Interesting park in the middle of West Virginia. The falls are a nice sight to see, especially after a good rainfall.

On the weekend I was there, sadly there wasn't enough snow. Guess I'll have to go back with my sled, and helmet!
