Fred Herz was camping in the Canaan Valley in 1985, while sitting by a camp fire, staring up at a mountain he thought that it would be a great place to ski. He convinced his entire family to buy into his idea and create Timberline Four Seasons...more

Had no snow making and no biginners slope / lift. . Only about 4 runs open with one lift that operated without issue but seemed slow. Salamander was to only path down from the top. Staff was polite and each employee was clearly working more...More

This place is nosediving, and it's spiraling faster every year. I'm not sure how they make enough money to stay open year after year. Lifts are always breaking, they haven't opened more than 2 slopes (excluding green trails) in years!! Sad operation, really a great...More

Dirty piss poos lodge. Lifts continually breaking down and will soon have national news of some catastrophic accident if they continue to operate. Owners don't care. STAY AWAY for you own good

Timberline Four Season Resort is currently closed. They have broken lifts and a broken business. It is time for someone to takeover the resort and spend the time and money to make it the truly wonderful four season resort it can be. That being said......More

Despite all of the legitimate criminal activity that has recently encircled Timberline, the most criminal of all activity there is the current state the place is in. The resort legitimately admits to cockroaches in the cafeteria after having the power shut off for 8 months....More

We have always stayed at Timberline on our visits and like the quaint atmosphere. Problem is that they have fallen on hard times and the restaurant and bar area was not even open. The condo we stay at was pitiful which probably has nothing to...More

Do not book a trip to Timberline and expect to be able to ski or snowboard. They have extremely limited snowmaking in the 2018-2019 season. Sure the weather has been bad but Canaan Valley had 18+ runs open and they have about identical weather. We...More

This resort, if you can call it that has no clue how to be in the hospitality business. The lifts are ancient, if not borderline dangerous, they had an accident just a couple years ago. I have not felt safe on them in years. You...More

No food service. Barely any slopes open and those “open” are not worth paying to ski. Barely any employees. Only one operational lift other than bunny slope. Not worth it!
