Huge park with lots to do
Mar 2021 • Family
Shockingly huge park with so much to do. It was crazy busy while we were there. We enjoyed one of the smaller playgrounds and open fields and had lunch under one of the 20 plus shelters. Buildings and shelters seem a little run down. Disappointed only 3 bathroom buildings in the whole park and 2 were closed. Very cool right next to an airport so take offs and landings are happening right over top of you.

Wonderful Park
Mar 2020
This park is quite large and offers many activities including: hiking, biking, running, golf, disc golf, tennis, picnic shelters and sites, playgrounds, soccer field, etc. Keep driving through the park to get to roadside pull-offs for parking to hike trails. It's within a short driving distance from Charleston.

Nice recreational park
Nov 2019 • Couples
This was a nice park not too far from town. They had an abundance of picnic & day use areas. There were some patches of autumn leaves in bright golds. We had a nice picnic here though it was a tad chilly once the sun dipped behind the tree line. The police patrol the area and are strict about stopping in areas not designated for parking.

Beautiful park

Gorgeous local park. They have everything you could want, from a golf course to a driving range. From tennis courts to a pool, and great walking trails. It is everything you need for the whole family, best park in Charleston.

Disc golfing
Feb 2019 • Family
We visited here for a disc golf tournament. The course was great for February. We went exploring the rest of the park. This park has a lot to offer in the spring and summer. From golf, to swimming and hiking. Great day trip park!

OK Executive Course
Jun 2018 • Friends
While at a conference three of us went off and played Coonskin Park Golf Course. A nice executive type course of 18-holes. Very walkable and was fun to play. There are hills, water, etc. to make it interesting. The price was right.

Walking trails need work
Oct 2017 • Couples
The hotel staff recommended this park to us and since it was only a 10 minute drive from downtown, we decided to give it a try. The park has lots of features . . . baseball, frisbie golf, tennis, a pool, and lots of picnic tables. But it was a fall day and we were looking for a trail. We took the trail that runs behind the pool and there were parts that were washed away and very uneven. Still, it was beautiful to walk along the river as long as you don't mind watching every step.

Middle School Golf
Mar 2017 • Business
I've been coaching middle school golf for 7 years now and there is not a better beginner, short course out there for these young golfers to start their games. It's challenging yet fair. Even for the veterans of golf it offers challenging distances and greens.

Something for everyone
Oct 2016 • Couples
Coonskin park has a little something for everyone. There is a golf course, fishing pond, small skate park, playground, trails and tennis courts. It has a driving range to practice your swings. If you are into just watching the ducks, the pond is a must visit. Some walked up to us looking for food I'm assuming. We have yet to explore all the trails but the one we walked on by the golf course was paved and easy to walk on. Just watch for wayward golf balls. If you love watching squirrels then we seen plenty. Birds were busy eating all the little berries they could find. I think it would be worth exploring if you want to get away for a few hours. There are also picnic areas to relax and enjoy some good food. Get out, walk, bike or hike. Explore the beauty of Coonskin !

Fun Course
Jul 2016
The course is a public course so the fees are reasonable. Small enough to walk the course and carry you own bag. It is family friendly. The driving ranges is up the hill and easy to get to.
