Even though we didn’t get to see the inside (since visiting hours are limited) it was a sweet little historic stop to enjoy the outside of. I found it a little confusing online but it made sense once we were there: Daniel Boone park houses Craig-Patton House and literally right next door is The Ruffner Cabin.

I came here for a tour of the house. It was so interesting to learn the history and the building is beautifully preserved. The garden is peaceful and beautiful. This would be a great place to host a small wedding or event. Don't forget to leave a donation to keep this great house and museum running!

This was free (we made a donation). If you enjoy history you must stop. The historian was Very knowledgeable. This is a home that is constantly changing as they acquire new pieces. There is also a cabin on the property. Plan for at least an hour. No gift shop.

This property tends to be overlooked situated next to Daniel Boone Park on the river and besides the Moose Club. Docent Nathan Jones conducted tour during his lunch time and was very articulate and well versed in connecting family/events to make history come “alive “. We’re very glad we stopped at this free attraction. Home is well maintained and loved.
