The Civic Center is a well thought out venue. The children's museum is the best I have experienced anywhere. The hands on activities are beyond impressive. I have brought my grandkids here numerous times. They are always delighted to go and they never want to leave!

The city runs this once fine establishment. The best tickets go to the good ole boys and their friends. The same shows in other places cost less than at this location. We have lived here for more than 45 years and never attend events at this location even though there are very few of them. Most events are low quality... More

This is Charlestons major event center hosting many types of concerts and shows. A major renovation is underway that will vastly improve all aspects of this facility. It will feature a river front walkway on the Elk River. Once completed this will be a premier venue for even larger and better shows to come to Charleston area.

They need to seriously upgrade! The seats are AWEFUL and the floor looks like a trash dump. Not impressed!! I took my 4 year old here for Marvels live and I didn't want him to touch anything.

I've been coming here since childhood and its not the biggest venue but it does the job. I'm proud to have it and like being able to access the food, venues, and shopping in this part of town.

Not a ton of big names come to Charleston. When it does this is the place the have it. I wish they would have more of a selection in events but I can't hold the CCC accountable for that. Been to countless shows and traveling events here. My favorite is the Capitol Classic when WVU and Marshall plays basketball. There... More

We were here for an Eastern Star Grand Session that is held annually. The facility was clean and comfortable. The restrooms were also clean and maintained. We had an early morning breakfast with a large group and it was very good. It was served in a buffet and they had everything laid out with easy access. The food was very... More

Many performers and exhibits happen on a regular basis in the Civic Center. There are plans for updating and improving the Civic Center in the near future. There are hotels and local restaurants close by. Offering a pleasant date experience.

Went here for a large conference. Lots of room. They are getting ready to update this place which is good. The sound system in most of the rooms kept messing up for the speakers. The temperature is always Antarctic cold for this conference. The large rooms they used for vendors and lunch both were very dark and depressing. Better lighting... More
