Great place to visit on WV Capitol Grounds. Beautiful QUILT display! This is a neat place to visit to get a taste of true West Virginia. The Theatre is home to Mountain Stage-- a neat live radio event that happens many Sundays throughout the year.

We visited Charleston in August 2015 with a group of friends and the Cultural Center was on our itinerary. We were absolutely blown away. What a wonderful exhibition. It truly exceeded our expectations. Beautifully done in every way. The people of West Virginia can be very proud of this Cultural Center.

We had not planned to stop in, so had not read any reviews, but finished early with our tour of the capitol so decided to take a quick peek. We wish we had had more time to explore – this was one of the best museums we’ve visited. Very informational about a variety of things, there should be something to... More

They outdid themselves with this project. The state museum is literally a walk through the history of West Virginia. It covers all milestones and major events that affected our beautiful state. I love the interactive component as well. Anyone driving through charleston must stop. The museum is no more than 3 minutes off the interstate and has easily accessible parking.... More
