Let me start by saying you can not beat the golf packages at Cacapon State Park. This was the 3rd year that we did an April golf trip to Cacapon. There are 4 of us from upstate New York that do the 3 night with 4 days of golf. First, the price can not be beat. Next, the staff at... More

We discovered the swimming lake at Cacapon this summer, and my kids love it! It's affordable for families to get in. They allow inflatables and things like that, so we took an inner tube and beach balls. There is a nice diving area that I believe is about 10 feet deep. The kids loved that! They have a concession stand... More

We stayed at the lodge, and the friendly efficient staff is a highlight. The rooms are clean with a nice view. I especially love the long veranda overlooking the golf course. Sitting in one of the rocking chairs and watching the sun go down is a quiet pleasure. We also found that the restaurant is very good, with much of... More

There looked to be a lot to do at this park and it was very well maintained. We were only there for the hiking though. We found some trail maps online but they didn't specify how long the trails were, but we picked one and just went with it (Ziller Loop). We set off with our 1 bottle of water... More

This park has a lot to see and do all for no charge. Plenty of picnic, pavillion and grill areas. The nature center is small but fun for the kids. Public beack on the lake and also paddle boats are available for the lake at an additional charge. Basketball courts, playground, trails, bathrooms and plenty of parking too.

The lodge has so much to do. We did not take advantage, but the lower level has a few video games, air hockey and pool table. You can rent paddle boats, golf or hike numerous trails. Nice patio off the back overlooking the golf course and the park. Our room was small but clean and everything was in working order.... More

This is a beautiful state park in the midst of West Virginia’s natural beauty. There is lush forest, a lake and beach, nature and recreation programs, picnic areas, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, a sports clay shooting range, game courts, a Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed 18-hole golf course, and a breathtaking scenic overlook viewing up to four states (it’s a... We visited Berkeley Springs this week and decided to play a round of golf at Cacapon State Park. I'm sure glad we decided to take our golf clubs on this trip. The course was in great shape! The greens were a tad slow but they rolled true. The course is pretty wide open so get that Big Dog out and... More

My wife and I were on our way back to PA after being in the Outer Banks for a week. This was a great place to spend the evening. We had a nice buffet dinner in the lodge and then went for a beautiful two mile hike thru the woods. The room was plain but comfortable enough and was a... More

We hiked in the park. Picked up a map from the front desk, parked in the main lot, headed towards cabins 21 and 23 to hike the Central loop (about 5 miles). Along the way, we switched to the Ziller loop, went up to 1800 feet and decided to get back to the Central loop. Beautiful and quiet place. We... More
