This is a nice little park, with the emphasis on little. On the plus side, parking is free and the path is shaded.

I thoroughly enjoyed getting out of town on a hot day and strolling along a short, easy path to enjoy giant boulders, clear rushing water tumbling over them and just the general atmosphere of being one with nature. Pack a small lunch, grab some chairs or a blanket, and get out there.

Lucia Falls is a small park with one waterfall, and they claim, 1 mile of hiking trails. The trail is nice, the waterfall is beautiful, but has signs around it, that no one should touch the water because it is salmon habitat. The hiking trails just seems like a few paths around the site. The place is nice and wooded, decent-sized parking, and has a few picnic tables. The park is a smaller version of Moulton Falls Regional Park, located a few miles up the road.

Easy access. Rocks are easy to climb if dry. Nice place to just sit and watch the falls. We saw 5 large fish jumping the falls

This is a pretty park with a nice wide and mostly level path, picnic areas, bbq pits, paved parking and of course the water falls.
The falls are beautiful and there are many points for photos.

I love the serenity of this place. The waves roll along the rocks and are very soothing to me. I love the view of looking into the water.

Swimming is not allowed at this park by CC ordinance to protect salmon and steelhead spawning grounds.
It’s also a residential area on the opposite banks. Park closes at dusk.
It is however a good place to begin a hike or bike ride to Moulton Falls and back or vise versa. If you start here at Lucia Falls you proceed on Lucia Falls Road East about a quarter mile and turn right on Hantwick then follow this over the bridge, and across the RR tracks and left into the Smith Trailhead parking lot. From there is a great trail that more or less follows the East Fork Lewis River on a bike, horse and footpath about 2.6 miles to Moulton Falls. It’s about a 6 mile round trip route. Very peaceful and beautiful along this stretch of wild and scenic East Fork Lewis River.

We decided to take a drive since the places we wanted to see in Portland weren't open due to fires. This scenic drive was nice. Short loop hike around. About a mile, if that. Beautiful trees and greenery .

I took my grand-daughter here when I was in town because she had never been. We walked the easy trail and then we hiked around the rocks by the waterfall and we had a great time! We even found some fresh blackberries, which are in season in August/September. Yum!

This is a quiet place to go walk & check out the water. You can walk on the trail for a little exercise!

No water public contact. There is a county ordinance prohibiting it. That means NO swimming, no diving, so jumping off cliffs into the river. No Water contact. These are sensitive salmon and steelhead spawning grounds. And the rocks and waters can be dangerous as well.
