I've been to Meerkerk a few times and can't wait to go back! These gardens are great for nature lovers and stops with the kids. The gardens are very peaceful and offer many photo ops. Love sitting on a bench and enjoying this unique and peaceful place! One of my most favorite places on Whidbey.

This location is great for Concerts when scheduled. We saw a Blue Grass Concert with three bands. I have never been to this type of music, but I really liked it. It costs $15 per person for 4 hours of music. What surprised us is that this place had wooden benches for seating and some picnic tables to eat off... More

This peaceful woodland garden is Whidbey Island's best kept secret. Leashed dogs are always welcome. Each visit in any season offers the gardening enthusiast and nature lover a delightful experience! Kids under 16 get in free, and well worth the nominal $5 entry fee. Gorgeous views of the garden, Mount Baker, and Saratoga Passage from the picnic area.

We stopped in as we both love gardens and hoped to see at least some blooming. Nothing was out.. and much of the garden was roped off with yellow tape preventing access... of course we saw this after we had paid the fee to enter. We will try and go back during the spring blooming season, as we could see... More

We are sorry you thought the gardens were closed. We had some weed management within the gardens and "roped" off a section of the 10 acres of display gardens. We have maps in the gatehouse which you entered through which might have helped you with rerouting your stroll. If you come back in the springtime - consider yourself "paid" and... More

It had been raining on the day my sister and I visited, and it was toward the end of the Rhodie blooms. But was such a nice walk around, to see their gardens and see the view. Definitely a must for any flower lover. I would love to return when the Rhodies are more in bloom.

We hope you can visit again. The fall season is wonderful with our maple trees putting on a color show. Peak bloom is mid-April to end of May. Thanks for coming! More

As soon as the sign goes out in I-20 that says "PEAK BLOOMS"- get to the Meerkerk Gardens immediately! It's an enchanted secret garden, with winding pathways of gravel and sod, and there are hiking trails for the more adventurous. Try to go on a weekday, because weekends are busy, and it's more magical if it's a bit less crowded.... More

My wife volunteers at the Gardens on occasion and told me how lovely it can be. Well, I finally went and she was right, it's a wonderful place to stroll on a nice day. Many of the Rhododendron bushes (trees) were in full bloom. Spring time is the best time to go. The paths are well groomed but can be... More

I had seen flowers I have not seen before. It has different varieties of trees and a nature trail. It also have a nursery in it. $5 dollars per person is the entrance fee but it's all worth it

I surprised the Mrs. with this place and she was so pleased with the grounds. The price is very fair when compared to other venues on the island and absolutely beautiful. We arrived when they were just opening and the volunteer said we can always feel free to enter the grounds even if it's a little late in opening. (The... More
