In spite of it being SEAFAIR weekend - the ferries were remarkably fast loading. Everyone was courteous and happy. A perfect day for a ride - Puget Sound, the Mountains on both sides - very romantic!

We took this ferry from Southworth to Vashon for the first time. We have a Kia Soul and took our kayaks with us. We had no idea that the cars had to drive down the middle and up the ramps to be turned around. The...More

The ferry terminal is about 20 mins from downtown Seattle and gives you easy access to Vashon Island and the Olympic Peninsula. Made sure to check the schedule well ahead of time and download the WSDOT app for updates. Avoid commute times otherwise you may...More

Good size drive on Ferry and a 20 minute ride to the Island. Orderly parking and orderly departure makes for a smooth trip across and back.

Clean, efficient, gets you to the island in 20 minutes. The views as you approach Vashion Island are lovely and the fare (for walk-aboards) is quite reasonable.

The ferries are an excellent way to tour the beautiful Puget Sound area for practically nothing. Visitors should absolutely take advantage of the large ferries and come to Vashon for the day. The return trip is free! Senior and children discounts are available. Or for...More

We rode the ferry back and forth between Seattle and Vashon Island several times. The ferry doesn't take very long to get across and has a great upstairs lounge area if you don't want to sit in your car. The wait time can be short...More

We need better signage for sure! At Fauntleroy you will get a ticket and the ticket taker will direst you to a line. There are 2-3 lanes once past the ticketed, that go to Vashon. The far right lane goes to Southworth. Hope... More
