Took 3 grandchildren and 4 adults 70 dollars. It first I thought it was a rip off. In the end it was a fun filled 2 hours full of memories. My grand kids are 2-3-4. Years they got to pet 3 different snakes- an Armadillo. The also petted a baby cow, sheep goats kangaroos, lama’s pigs lizards and a fox. Saw some parrot’s. It was in an old strip mall a little hard to find. We are still looking at the pictures and laughing. More memories than seeing frozen 2. Just saying

We didn’t know what to expect here as it seemed it be a petting zoo in a kind of old looking “strip mall” and how good could that actually be? Pretty damn good actually!
For an affordable $10 an adult you can pet and look at animals for as long as you want. We stayed for just about an hour but probably could have hung out longer.
There are lots of animals you can touch... goats, yak, zebu, capybara, cavy, kangaroo, rabbits, armadillo, tortoises, anteater, alpaca... and animals you can look at and enjoy river otter, lots of reptiles, parrots, etc. I know I’m missing some.
The animals seemed really well cared for and friendly. At $5 the cup of lettuce to feed felt pricey but I get it. I liked feeding them though my 18 year old did not as the goats and alpaca are a bit.... excited about trying to get food from you. Glad we tried it.
I expected capybara to be my favorite but it was the yak. It was so gentle, sweet, and soft. My son was so excited to try and pet everything...besides the alpaca which towers over him. We really enjoyed ourselves and would do it again if we’re ever back in Tacoma.

We decided to take our 13 month old here when we didn't know what to do one day and it was pretty fun.
Overall it's a fairly small place, if we didn't GPS it I would have had no idea that the building was a petting zoo if I was just cruising down the street. Children under the age of 2 are free so with 2 adults and the cup of food we spent $25.
They had quite a few different types of animals that were all super friendly and the conditions of the animal rooms were clean and maintained. The only things that I would recommend is to wear clothes you wouldn't mind getting dirty. We were expecting to go here when we left the house so we didn't get on the ground or pick up any of the animals. Nor did we let our son walk around freely - as soon as we entered the petting area with the cup of food I had goats jumping up on me and the cows nudging at me so I did not feel comfortable letting my son roam because I didn't want him to be pushed over. I'd also like to add that some of the animals would nibble at my clothing or my purse so that also made me not want to let my kid freely touch. I think that if your kids were older and could follow directions better than a 13 month old then it would be fine.
Keep in mind if you'd like to visit the sloths or animals they have in the back you have to have a separate reservation for it.

As I reflect on my visit here with my 2 year old grandson, my husband, and my son, I have mixed feelings. It was cool to have unusual animals up close to see and touch (4 stars) but I am not sure how I feel about the care of the animals (2 stars). I saw lots of small pet cages out back so I assume they travel to and from this store environment to somewhere in these cages. Where do they go at night? Also the goats can be overwhelming for young kids as they jump on you in an attempt to get at the cup of lettuce you can buy for $5. This was a bit too much for my grandson.
We went in September and not only got to visit the indoor petting zoo for $10 each, but we also took a short trip on a small bus to their outdoor farm (for an additional $10 each) where they had more goats and other animals for petting. They also had a baby giraffes that was on loan from another location that had been impacted by a storm back east. I was surprised to see a giraffe in Spanaway in a residential area and I really do hope it was only for a short term visit. Supposedly it also was recovering from health issues.
Like I said, I have really mixed feelings about this place and the care of the animals. I wonder what agency oversees the animal care or if anyone oversees their care? Also our visit of 3 adults and a 2 year old was costly at $20 each! It would have been half that if we didn’t go to the farm.

Very unsettling experience. Paid for an otter encounter and boy did I have an encounter! You're in a tiny room with 2 out of 4 river otters. They rotate them. We had Chip and Bubbles. They'll climb on your lap as you're sitting in tiny, wet kindergarten chairs. They warm you not to wave your fingers in their face, etc. I had barely sat down and had my phone in my left hand recording a video of Bubbles and my friend. Bubbles was going after her ponytail then got on her lap and bit her hand. Bubbles quickly moved to my lap and immediately clamped down on my left forearm...HARD. I screamed and shoved her off my lap.
She drew blood in one of two deep punctures. One of the handlers got a first aid kit after I showed her the blood. No alcohol wipes. Just some Neosporin and a band-aid. They put Bubbles in a cage after that but Chip was so distraught with his buddy in a cage that they screamed almost the entire rest of the encounter.
The staff was very nice and informative, but all I was thinking about was my arm throbbing and wondering if I needed a rabies shot.
After the otters we went out to the main room where the goats, an alpaca and other various critters were interacting with families. It was chaotic as hell. They give you a cup with lettuce and you're swarmed. One poor little girl was screaming as the goats were pushing and shoving to get to the food. I'm 5'9" and I was feeling boxed in.
We drove home stinking to high heaven after the otter urine smell and the goat and cow stench. They need to warm you to wear clothes you don't care if they get trashed, especially if you're going to the otter encounter. Heck, body armor might be advised for the otter encounter.
I can't recommend the otter encounter. Too dangerous. I shudder to think they allow kids to do it. If you do it, beware. Especially of cute but deadly Bubbles!!
Here's a photo of Bubbles before she was cashed and my arm after I stopped the bleeding. It's very painful to the touch so I'll watch it overnight. Hoping I don't need any shots or medical attention.

We had heard about this place and decided to take my grandkids, they loved it and were able to interact with the animals, petting and feeding them, we also had a picture taken of my granddaughter riding a pony and she had a blast.

This indoor petting zoo is a great introduction for young children to experience farm and somewhat exotic animals in a relaxed environment. On the day we visited with our four year old grand-daughter, there were newborn pigs, goats, rabbits, ducks, chickens, a miniature cow and two wallabies. They also offer pony rides and can cater to birthday parties. The animals are used to being petted and the staff is very helpful.

Took my 2 year old to see the animals. It's a much smaller place than I thought, but it's very fun. It's not a must do if you're far away, but definitely a great place to take young children.
They have a great variety of animals for a petting zoo. You got you standard goats and sheep, a cow and and a llama. But... There is also a Zebra!! The zebra is super soft and so so friendly.
They also have a few capybaras, snakes, lizards, tortoises, and even a sloth.
The price is very good too.
Go visit, have fun!

Got a groupon for this place and took my 10, almost 11 yr old granddaughter. It was Saturday and opened at 11am...we got there closer to 12:30pm. There is not enough parking, so I suggest getting there before they open to snag a spot. The folks who work there are very nice and it was a fun experience. They are all ready to help you hold or pet an animal and talk with your about the animals. There is a party room, 2 family restrooms and a separate hand washing station. Out back there is a large, 3 bay slide that was an absolute hit. And for $8 your child can sit on the pony while the attendant walks her in circles on the asphalt that is near the slide. It seemed to be a good long ride and the attendant talked with my granddaughter the whole time, answering questions and just having conversation. One caveat from a grandma to you cute young mommies in your cute little boots or booties--check out the photo of my athletic shoes. Because, Yeah.
Those large animals, one on the lap of the lady I didn't ask permission to show her face...they are what the ROUS were patterned after in The Princess Bride. Except Consuelo and Hector are the sweetest animals. And if you sit down on the floor they will crawl into your lap and even go to sleep because they just love to be cuddled! There is a special reptile room (gramma doesn't do snakes). But in the main portion there was one bunny, a large tortoise under the bunny's table, those two ROUS's, 2 Cavy, a small cow, a soft alpaca, several goats, a prairie dog, a huge lizard, a pig and some birds in a cage. The fox was out for the day.

It's strange that the petting zoo is in the middle of a strip mall. If you can get past that: the kids had a good time. There are plenty of animals to pet with the option to feed. Tons of goats who aren't shy about getting the food from you. The kids only lasted about 20 minutes before getting bored and we spent $30 for two kids, one adult, and two feeding options (ice cream cone and carrots).

I can't believe this place exists. It is only there to exploit these animals and give them no relief of human interaction. It's open 7 days a week. Everyone, including animals need a break. This makes me very sad to see.

I am so sorry, just getting this question. They are currently closed for the summer. Their location is to hot for the animals in the summer months.
