Pretty beat-up

The dome has seen better days. It's pretty banged-up, scruffy, and out-dated. Still, it holds a large crowd - (maybe 10,000) - so it suits the purpose.

The reviews below are somewhat correct. Yes it is VERY multi-functional and yes, it is dated. In fact, it dates back to when the only big recreational buildings being built were multi-functional. So, this one, which appears to be in good shape, is a blast from the past. I attended the University of Washington graduation and it was set up... More

We recently attended the Boat Show here. It was a great place to go because it was all on one floor and had many different local boat and accessory exhibits. We loved the exhibits of the Tacoma area marine history and boat renovation. The food left much to be desired. No chairs to sit and eat! Restrooms were okay.

Been to many events: concerts, sports events, entertainment shows. The holiday gift fair is great, but most performance events have real sound issues and visibility is difficult for the average seat - like most other stadiums.

Went here for the Iron Maiden concert. There are so many other venues I'd rather go to for a concert, but I.M. was not stopping any closer to me. Anyway, restrooms need updating, parking needs to be better run. And, quite frankly, it's in Tacoma, so I'm not sure what else can be done to help this venue.

Over the years The Dome has been open I've seen many sports, music and auto events here, most recently I attended the Black Sabbath tour concert.Tthe acoustics of the wooden ceiling beams make this a wonderful venue

This place feels like a death trap. I was scared I wasn't going to make it out alive. Also, not great acoustics for concerts.

I have been here for a couple craft/garden/home improvement shows, two concerts, and one show. It's small enough to always have a great seat, yet big enough to get in some great acts, AC/DC, Iron Maiden to mention two.

The Tacoma Dome is great because it's small enough to feel "intimate", but big enough to bring in the big names. Great staff, lots of restrooms, reasonable snacks. If you stay at the Best Western Tacoma Dome - you can park there and walk 3 minutes and be in your seats.

We went to the Jeff Dunham show, which was excellent but the seating was uncomfortable with very little let room and getting to and from the parking lots was frustratingly slow. We planned to arrive early but traffic was so horrendous that we arrived thirty minutes late but then so did the hundreds of other cars going our way. After... More
