It was time well spent during our Seattle trip. The zoo was smaller but still beautiful & we loved the combo of zoo & aquarium! Not to mention being located in a beautiful park!!! Missed the touch exhibits due to COVID but still worth visiting. We will go back next time we are there.

First visit since the zoo reopened. We are members & bought our timed tickets ahead of time like everyone needs 2 do. Different experience of course, not all exhibits are opened. Still a great day & many animals out 2 enjoy. Several food kiosks open if you get hungry. We had cheeseburgers, hotdogs & fries and there were tables available 2 sit and enjoy the meal. Overall it was a nice day out.

The zoo itself was terrific - diverse animals, helpful in-zoo staff, excellent adaptation to needs for social distancing and sanitizing. BRAVO! However, the “customer service” young lady I spoke to on the phone (prior to purchasing tickets) was rude and NOT AT ALL SERVICE CONSCIOUS. I have a membership at another facility that entitles me to 50% off at the Point Defiance Zoo. She said this would NOT be honored. “It’s policy,” she replied. When I inquired as to why, she said there was no way to check my membership card. This was garbage! A ticket checker scanned our bar codes upon entry. I feel ripped off by someone who just couldn’t be bothered with good service.

No refunds?! We purchased tickets online. Shortly after purchasing our daughter said she had a sore throat. So of course we decided not to go to the zoo.... But unfortunately this establishment does not recognize we are in a pandemic and refuse to change policy during these difficult times. Two thumbs down.

don't go in the summer. one third of attractions closed. one third of animals out of sight. we drove two hours for a two hour walk through a garden. a day at the beach would have been much better. the walruses were cool. after we walked the whole place in 90 minutes, we went back to the walruses, the only fun thing we saw.
