Must see little spot in the Puget Sound. Have frequently visited for hikes. Easy trails, easy to find, lush green forests with an opening up to the water.

Spent a great day at the zoo. Hadn't been there in a few years. Lots of changes. Enjoyable stroll through the park. Even though it was a warm day, we saw most of the animals on exhibit. Lots of volunteers around to show off animals...More

This is a beautiful spot to visit if your in the area. It was peaceful when we went on a Thursday night. People seemed to be courteous and maintain a respectful voices and actions as they walked, ran and biked in the area.

We enjoy going to Point Defiance for a day outing with our grandsons. The park is clean, safe and shaded enough to keep the hot sun off you in the summer. Staff is friendly. Easy walking.

While staying in Tacoma, Point Defiance Park is very close by. We did the 5-mile drive which was absolutely beautiful with the views of the water and wildlife. Raccoons were everywhere.

Easy access and many attractions and hiking trails. There are also places for picnics, access to the water, and even a dog park. I visit several times each month.

Should be nice, but although they are having a warm rain free summer, some rain any month is the norm, so check out the forecast on accuweather before you go so you are prepared.
