Best day of our 9-day Oregon trip! My husband and I were traveling with my parents (80s/90s), and we had Diane (a former park ranger who works with Martin’s Tours as needed) as our guide for a full day of the waterfalls. I was initially concerned that Martin or Christine wouldn’t be doing the tour, but that was pointless worry. I honestly do not think we could have had a better experience. Diane knew exactly how to structure the day so that my parents could see the most, without taking excessive hikes, while sending my husband and me on a separate path a few times while she stayed back and talked with my folks. We saw many beautiful falls together, ate a lovely picnic lunch that Diane had arranged in advance, and went to some additional spots like Vista House, the dam, and a fish hatchery. Diane was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the Gorge area and the various sights, and she brings a unique perspective about our impact on nature having been a ranger. She went out of her way to give everyone what they wanted out of the day. As an example, when she found my husband was a history fan, she sent him information about the best books on the Gorge. When she learned that my dad craves ice cream, she was determined to end our day with some tasty scoops. Great day!!

My boyfriend and I went on a private wine tour in early October 2020 led by Martin and Christine. Throughout the experience, Martin and Christine were nothing but wonderful. They responded to my initial inquiry very quickly and crafted an itinerary comprised of three beautiful wineries (I requested nice views and they most certainly delivered). The van we traveled in had plenty of snacks, bottled water, and PPE (masks, hand sanitizer, gloves). Martin and Christine were very thorough with COVID-19 procedures (masks were worn by everyone at all times while in the van), which we certainly appreciated. Martin and Christine are very knowledgeable on the wineries in the region and were wonderful, charismatic hosts. We didn't have to think about anything because they took care of it all, from making the reservations at the wineries to driving us to each stop to storing the bottles we purchased to taking some adorable photos of us to coming into the wineries and getting us when it was time to go. We would most definitely not have been able to create such a lovely experience on our own. 100% recommend Martin's Gorge Tours -- worth the splurge!!

My husband and I booked three vehicles with Martin's Gorge Tours for guest transportation the day of our wedding. We had a great experience using this company. Martin and his team were easy to work with, had great communication, were professional, and went above and beyond to provide transportation for about 50 of our guests around Hood River. Would recommend this company to others.

Martin and Christine are knowledgeable, kind, and give personalized tours. We had a wonderful time with them exploring the falls of Columbia River Gorge and hiking various trails. This team is able to tell you everything about the area including history, all of the plants/wildflowers, where to get food/drinks, and anything else you could think of to ask. We were only able to fit in about 25% of the Gorge in one day, but we will definitely be booking with them again when we come back to the area.

Martin and Christine were wonderful hosts and organizers of our recent corporate event. They worked with our schedule and our requests and formulated a customized day of team building that included hiking, waterfall tours, a vineyard tour and dinner. Comments from our group included "perfect" and "flawless". Their flexibility and willingness to assist with special requests was invaluable to me as a meeting planner. Thank you Martin & Christine!

Martin took 3 of us wine tasting in celebration of my husband's 75th birthday--it was the bomb! My husband says it was hands down the best birthday he has had. Martin is that amazing combination of laid back professionalism. My husband and I are major winos and have never been to Hood River before. Martin asked me what kind of wineries I like and boy did he deliver! We went to 3 wineries, all with a different feel and diverse tastings. We can't recommend Martin enough.

The value of our wine tour was worth more than the price paid. Our tour guide Christine and her trainee Lisa were fun, knowledgeable, and gave us a wonderful tour of some of the most unique and fun wineries in the gorge. It was tailored just for us and fit our personality and tastes so well. We found a new favorite winery and have wonderul memories.
They are able to solve problems on the go, supplied wonderful snacks and water, and taught us so much about the gorge. We booked on the weekend of closures due to the coronovirus and hit a few bumps because of it, but they still gave us a full value tour and were able to solve the issue of closing wineries without hindering our experience at all. They are wonderful and definitely gave us a premium experience :)
I would recommend them 100%

We had a wonderful time with Martin’s Gorge Tours. The van was very clean and he had sanitizer and masks for us as well. We felt perfectly safe on our adventure. Even with so many locations being closed due to COVID, Martin brought us to many unique and historical places. His knowledge of the area is amazing and we learned a lot about local history and events. I not only recommend his tours, I am planning to use his services when we have out of town guests as we are knew to the area and could never offer as much information and insight as Martin.

Martin and Christine put together our private tour in a matter of hours. We hiked to waterfalls, old growth forest, viewed Mt. St. Helens and learned about the area, as well as local brewing and eating establishments. We appreciated their COVID protocol as well as their knowledge of the area. We will definitely suggest them to others.

We absolutely loved our tour and our guide Christine. We toured the Gorge for 2 days in June 2021 with friends and could not have been happier. We saw many more sights than we could have ever covered on our own in 2 days. We combined breathtaking sight seeing in the morning with wine tours in the afternoon. Martin Gorge Tours tailored the tour to our preferences and it was perfect! We saw lots of beautiful water falls and learned the history of the Gorge. The van was large and extremely clean, we were provided snacks and water and cleaning supplies. And Christine knew all the best locations for photos and was an excellent photographer for our group. She also did a great job selecting wineries to tour based on the types of wine we like. She knew all the vineyard owners and they were super attentive. There is so much to do and see in the Gorge. We are already looking forward to our next trip to Hood River and will definitely book another tour. I highly recommend this company as well as Christine.
