My friend and I loved this nice hike. It winds around and up, quite steeply in places, to the tup where there is a fabulous view looking down at the Columbia River, the town of Stevenson, and far beyond. Not for small children, though we saw some in their parents' backpacks. Wear hiking shoes or boots. It's rocky in many places. About 1.5miles each way.

We had a wonderful hike early in the morning. The wind was at our back going up the trail which made it a lot easier for me since I'm not a seasoned hiker. Lots of bird life too!

Had a college reunion trip with my buddies in Portland. Glad we found this trail by accident. Gorgeous view and fun interaction with wildlife on the top of mountain. Quoted my friends Ivan "I wasn't planned to finish the trail, but I am glad I did because it was a once a life time experience!"

Will recommended to everyone.

close to the Dog Mountain trails, this is a great trail to get out and stretch the legs. be sure to have some sturdy shoes and a water bottle as the path can be steep

Somewhat challenging hike for a novice (don't wear flip flops!), but incredible views of Mount Adams and the Gorge from the top. The trails are in good shape, but pretty steep in some sections.

This is a moderate and short out-and-back hike of 2.5 miles (1000' altitude gain) that pairs well with the Dog Mountain hike which is a mile or so away. You can easily do the both in one day (and throw in Dog Creek Falls for a trifecta).

Start by heading downhill from the gravel parking lot to the trail head. The trail is rocky and not well maintained but easily passable. You are rewarded at the top with nice views and this is an old Native American spirit questing site.

There are no facilities or water. Pack it in and pack it out.
The drive in is much easier from the West (Wind Mountain Trail Road) vs the East (Girl Scout).
