This short trail is very worthwhile for its included signage along the way. Various plants are identified and the history of the area is described. Very worthwhile.

Learned that reuse and repurpose was crucial to life at Stehekin. Summers were very busy preparing for the harsh winters that are part of life on the lake.

The cabin is a standard one room job in pretty good shape, about 20 feet off the road. You might as well look while you are there.The rest of the "trail" just circles around one building and comes out 30 feet down the same road...More
