This is located next to Manito Park. It is currently closed for a major renovation. The gates have been locked since March 2020 and although everyone is anxious to get in, especially in the fall, they will reopen when all renovations are complete. I do not have a date on when this will happen.

We were visiting Spokane in search of autumn colours and did we ever hit the jackpot at these lovely Japanese Gardens. The colours were so vivid and bright, we almost needed sunglasses! But you know, there is so much more to the gardens than just the colours in the fall - the water, the bridge, the statuary - we bet it's gorgeous all through the growing season. If you miss this, you'll have missed something incredible!

A very tranquil and relaxing place to stroll and enjoy a quick and peaceful stroll while enjoying the calming effect of the garden.

If you are in the area of this garden and need a breather from the city, stop in. I wouldn’t recommend making a special trip to see this garden. There are a few statues gifted from Japan and a pond with koi. The garden is very small and nothing to go out of your way to see. It definitely provides a place a quiet and serenity in the city, though, so I can appreciate its value. It just isn’t a destination spot.

A lot smaller than expected. Smaller than other Japanese Gardens I have visited. One very large koi in a murky pond. Not very many koi. No flowers anywhere. Entrance and parking is free. This garden is located in Manito Park.

I've been to several extensive gardens...in London, Victoria B.C. and other locals, but I've never seen a Japanese garden that can surpass the one at Manito Park.
Built in concert with a sister city in Japan, the garden is beautifully arranged and filled with water features.I
It's free to enter and there is nearby parking.
It's a quiet, reflective place in the a large park, no visit to Spokane would be complete without a visit.

Very small, cozy and charming. If you visit Spokane, it's a must see place. It's romantic, a little mysterious, and absolutely beautiful.

Lovely garden but very often too crowded. Big fish in ponds, mini falls, pretty trees. Also close to a street with lots of traffic, so the quiet is ruined. It's a good garden to take kids to because of the small size, ducks, fish, turtles and falls.

A lovely small garden, places to sit and relax. Not as large or well maintained as the Japanese garden at the UW in Seattle. But enjoyable just the same.
Limited parking adjacent to the gate. It is inside and part of Manito Park.

The garden was beautiful. It is a quick walk around the garden with a lot of beautiful things to photograph. I enjoyed it a lot.
