Outstanding Symphony in a unique venue

The music is as good as it gets at very reasonable pricing and there isn't a bad seat in the venue. Probably the best entertainment buy in Spokane.

A decent professional, if parochial orchestra with a pretentious and semi-competent conductor at the helm who has stayed too long. Be prepared for uneven performances, local soloists, and some interesting interpretative turns. The hall that they perform in is wonderful, however.

It's not the NY Philharmonic, or even the Seattle Symphony, but they bring in great guest artists to complement a solid group. I'm sure there are better out there, but I can't tell the difference. They also put on all sorts of shows, from Labor Day in the Park to Jazz Orchestra (oldest in America) and more.

This is a small orchestra that can produce some very nice music. Just don't expect Severance Hall, the Boston Pops and you won't be disappointed.

What a great symphony we have. Both Preu and Nakahara are energetic, innovative conductors that make going to the symphony fun and interesting. I love that they bring in local people dressed in star wars costumes for the john williams show or tell us interesting facts about the composers. Spokane is very fortunate to have them and all the talented... More

It may surprise you because of the size of our city, but our symphony is one of the better ones in the country. It is well supported and does a lot of community outreach and education. The theatre they play in is beautiful.

Our symphony is world class. I can't say enough good things about it. Echart Preu has really revitalized the symphony. I challenge anyone from larger, more urbane markets to watch our symphony perform. They are awesome. The Martin Woldson Theater is the perfect venue, as well. The restoration work is first rate.

Eckhart Preu and Spokane Symphony have really come a long way. Worth a ticket AND a donation.
