We toured the campus in January and it was unusually warm. The buildings are beautiful. We are from San Diego and enjoyed the trip. We also toured the new sports facility and it was amazing first rate!

Came across the campus while walking the Centennial Trail. Its right alongside the river and has walkways that lead on to campus. Most people probably know of Gonzaga from the NCAA. The campus looks very nice and well maintained

A nice small University in North Spakane...Founded in 1890 it is overshadowed by Gonzaga due to the success of Gonzaga basketball, bur for a superior education Whitworth is a better bet. Smaller school with multiple colleges and a good student to instructor ratio it provides...More

We enjoyed a walk around campus while visiting the Bing Crosby museum that is next door. We happened upon the Jundt Art museum while wandering, which was a bonus. It is small, but admission is free. They had a display of Chihuly's glass works and...More

It was recommended that we walk the Centenial Trail to Gonzaga. The Trail is great, but Gonzaga is not a very pretty campus. The architecture is mostly non desprict 70s ish. There are nice green spaces, but really nothing special.

Gonzaga has a lovely campus to walk whatever the season may be. I have attended Mass at St. Aloysius in the middle of the campus many times, as well as basketball games in the McCarthy Center, lectures at various locations on campus and dance recitals...More

We love touring college campuses...they usually have interesting buildings, artwork, well kept grounds, etc. and Gonzaga is no exception. It is a really beautiful campus. Of course we had to make a trip by McCarthey Athletic Center and get our picture with Spike the bulldog,...More

We visited Mr. Crosby's home first and then headed over to the university to see some pictures of him hanging on the first floor hall way. The classes were just letting out. The university is lovely...but expensive.

Maybe I'm a little prejudiced, as this is where I got my masters degree, but what a great place. Yes, most of America is aware of Gonzaga Bulldogs basketball, but the school is so outstanding. Beautiful campus, set in a terrific town, and celebrity connections...More

No. Students aren't required to attend any Catholic services. For those who wish to, Gonzaga offers avenues to explore one's faith but it is not a requirement. However, what differentiates Gonzaga is that, as a Jesuit... More

Couer d'Alene with teens (7 Replies)
My husband and I and 3 teen boys will be visiting Gonzaga University in Spokane around Easter time and would like to spend a few days in Couer d'Alene. We would like to be by the lake for some possible fishing and also the Centennial Trail to rent/ride bikes. Can someone please recommend some hotels that would be easily accessible to these attractions and also, some other possible activities? Thank you.

I am also planning on being in the area right before Easter. It seems like a lot of the things I have looked at do not open until the end of April or even until Memorial Day. What sorts of indoors stuff is there to do that might interest a 15 year old with an interest in science, photography, rocks, rock music, computers, etc? Coeur d'alene or Spokane are fine. Anything really photogenic? BTW, we will be driving from Tacoma, some already plan on seeing the a Grand Coulee Dam and Gingko...More
