Barrister Winery is located in downtown Spokane in a beautiful brick building built in 1906. Started by two attorneys in 2001, this winery is a must visit. With bold expressive Washington grapes and some careful aging, the wines prove to be some of the best in Washington. The building boasts 18' ceilings with 100 year old brick, original wood beams, and the original wood floor. The basement is full of over 450 barrels of aging Barrister red wine. In the summer the courtyard fills up with flowers and has a beautiful barrel wall, making this the perfect place for your next event. Open 12-5 daily for tastings. THERE'S MORE: Brand New tasting bar location in the Liberty building at 203 N. Washington across the street from the new Davenport Grand Hotel. Come visit us, open daily.

I was invited to a function at the winery in December. It is really a unique atmosphere, courteous staff, and very good wine. I am not a wine expert, but I know if it is palatable. And the art, I was entranced with the walls of art. What a fun time, I hope to be able to share it with... More

The Cabernet Sauvignon as very good and the First Friday event had lots of local artists' work showing for sale. The large space was packed: seems like mostly a 50+ age group location. Everyone was enjoying the event and seemed to have s great time, as did our group. The exposed brick and beams in the historic building are attractive,... More

We attended an event here, a special anniversary party, and had a wonderful time. The winery offered beer as well as their great wines, which are very good. There were also very good snacks provided, which actually made up a wonderful meal if you were that hungry. The staff is attentive, and the art on their walls that is rotated... More

We found ourselves with a Sunday afternoon to kill in Spokane. I found this winery listed here on Tripadvisor and decided to visit. Things were pretty quiet with 2 small groups served by one friendly and helpful pourer. During the course of our wine flight we received some good tips from other patrons. One great tip was from the pourer... More

Very nice atmosphere. Great place for a party, wedding, or just a family gathering (adult members, of course). Really good wines. Not partial to the white (but that's just me). Then we learned that they only produce the one so that they can really focus on the awesome reds they have.

This winery started by two lawyers consistently produces excellent red wines that delight my palate. I've been there a number of times. Once we were able to see the barrels in the basement. Another time I was able to taste syrah grapes before they were crushed into wine!
