I work in and around downtown and have always love the charm of this small town/big city. So many favorite shops and of course, Riverfront Mall and Park!

Spokane downtown parking keeps people out
Oct 2019
I have lived in Spokane for 70 years!..before covid 19 hit..I might have gone downtown .once a year maybe..in the last 20 years.
Why parking..parking cost as much as a.movie ticket. Or more..the homeless people..the drug addicts..they use to drive them out now they encourage them to stay..
You can go to the outlying areas.. No cost for parking..and have the same things
Getting to places downtown.. For older people very hard to get to..parking.is a half mile or more..to go anywhere.
There is no shopping downtown anymore.most everything has left..most of our malls are dying..we have no attractions to bring people here.

Spokane Is NOT Safe
Jun 2020
Spokane is a gorgeous city. Too bad it is over-run by aggressive homeless people. I witnessed a homeless person performing an x-rated act on himself. I did not feel safe. We will never return to Spokane.

Opening safely & successfully
May 2020
Yes, I am a visitor1 I've traveled here over the last two weeks and have seen the efforts and energy of downtown revive.
I also love to walk. I have been advised to "beware of the homeless" and to "watch for needles and poop!" Folks, I keep my eyes open anyway (dog owners don't always obey scoop laws...fyi.). I have never felt unsafe nor have I noticed aforementioned, human, anyways.
I love downtown and am excited to see what opens this week!

A fabulous city to walk around with many things to do. It is full of bars and restaurants for evening time and many excellent shops for the day.

Mob run parking
Dec 2019
I love in North Spokane on the border with Mead. Everything I need is here. Once considered moving downtown. Changed my mind. Apartments are small and outrageous priced, or pits of hell. Stores are snobby, overly expensive and full of thin "in" people. I am university educated and find the local art and museum culture either boring or weird. If you are a single woman, of any age, the majority of straight men are knuckle dragging, Republican, misogynistic idiots. Now for the coup Dr grace....the parking is run by either the mob or the city. (Difficult to tell the difference here). Give me nice suburb anyday.

New design with awesome food
Jan 2020 • Couples
This was our second time at the newly named and renovated Osprey restaurant, at the Ruby Hotel formally Cavanaughs River Inn. Last week we had a blackened salmon it was absolutely cooked to perfection. This week we had chicken piccata with capers fresh lemon You must try their brussel sprouts they are amazing Chef Steve came out to our table to see how we enjoyed our meal The blueberry ice cream was homemade and out of this world Meghan, our server is as sweet as she can be. Very knowledgeable about the different offerings of food and beverages!

I stayed downtown twice recently. There are several bars and restaurants, and Riverfront park is pretty cool.

Christmas fun with our gang of friends!
Dec 2019 • Couples
A wonderful dinner at Italian Kitchen five star atmosphere, food and service. Next we hit the street for a brisk walk to see the Crescent Windows a nod to the past. Then off to the River Park Mall to see the the Christmas D'Elegant tree in the mall. Wow were they charming and such a good charity! Off to take a carriage ride, were we disappointed they quite at 8:00 pm. One more stop Beautiful Davenport Hotel and see the remaining tree's. Very nice Cristmas memories and good exercise!
