We walked from The Davenport Hotel to the 3 story mall to Riverfront Park to Spokane Falls is a wonderful way to spend time with friends and family.

This year the downtown has be ome more vibrant and alive, and that's great. But the city needs more creative imagination to decorate the down town for the Christmas holidays season. It's a little skimpy...boring...not really exciting.

Sad to see so many homeless folks residing in the streets, underpasses, etc. Lots of open drug use. Surprisingly, late night walks through the parks are safe as all the homeless crowd must hole up for the night thus leaving those out and about unmolested....More

First time to Spokane and I was pleasantly surprised. A very nice city with an easy to navigate grid system. The city was clean and un crowded. The river and parks running through downtown make for a nice setting. This is somewhat offset by the...More

I didn’t know what to expect coming to Spokane. You always hear about Seattle. I was a bit surprised at how small it seemed and I mean small in a great way. Like a hometown feel. I was blown away by the beauty of the...More

In the 1990s, I patrolled downtown graveyard shift. Guns, dope, and fights. Now, there are around two dozen wineries/tasting rooms, great hotels, plenty of good to great food, and hipster joints galore. See my reviews of Overbluff Winery and the hipster “whiskey den” downstairs. Still...More

Downtown Spokane is always getting better all the time. They have down a nice job of downtown revitalization and fixing up the downtown corridor.

We love walking around downtowns of larger cities....each have their own personality and culture. Downtown Spokane seemed quiet and reserved...never in a hurry. We found many interesting shops and restaurants, a very nice mall and for the most part the streets were pretty clean. Quite...More

I lived here in Spokane for 5 years I absolutely hate the city. Its ugly in 3/4 of it, crackheads, jackholes, loose dogs, super high crime rate , squatters, Marshallese and dbags who think they're all that and a bag of chips... Pull ur pants up u stupid selfish lowlife scum of the earth Oklahoma gayboy. I'd rather live in my dogs dingleberry than here...horrible place to visit always hot and muggy and its 400$ for anything. "Ohh but its cool w all the old buildinnnggssss" just shows how low maintenance and the "fancy" architecture that is here...hmmm it may be cool to visit cuz its different...but a tip: DONT LIVE HERE!!! they sell bongs at 1/2 the gas stations and minors can't even enter and get whined at by an Arab telling a little kid to stay outside while his moms in there for days... I hate it heerreee. U think here is so interesting cause its old... So what go to Alaska or Mississippi at least you'll get a beer for under 4$... hobos every where asking to do a quickie in the bush and if you don't hell crap in his hand and throw it at u or some thing else :/ .. The only good parts the south hill... But there u still got militants that pss on the seat. It always smells like rotting food and can't walk anywhere without being asked or yelled at or even hit... Don't waste ur money AND AVOID HILLYARD

Clinkerdagger question (9 Replies)
When completing our trip next month, I thought our last night we should go somewhere memorable in Spokane. A number of tourist books suggest Clinkerdagger as the "must" restaurant in Spokane, But, then reading restarant reviews, they mostly seem negative. However, I have debated with some here on restaurant reviews that they should not negatively rate if they had bad service, only if they had bad food. One bad server or wait, or someone not getting the right table in my opinion is not an...More

With all of the reviews of this restaurant on this forum (did you select "restaurants" in the left hand column), I'm unsure why you are inquiring here. I read several reviews and my impression is that the restaurant is "spendy", "overpriced", a rather dark and dated atmosphere (which is I believe their style), the view (if you can get the right tables) fine, the food, as far as I read, ordinary, etc. In short, it does not seem unique to me, based on this set of reviews and I'd look at some...More

5 Hours in Spokane with luggage.... (13 Replies)
Hi all. I will be arriving in downtown Spokane at 5pm on Sunday the 19th of February and leaving from the Airport at 10pm the same evening. I am traveling alone and will have a backpack and ski bag with me. My problem is (obviously I think) trying to find somewhere I can park my luggage while I have some dinner and a quick trip to the loo etc. I see that the Amtrak station has no luggage fascilities and I doubt the airport will hold it for me as I am not actually flying. Even standard...More
