We went recently to pick huckleberries. It is a great place close to Spokane to easily get huckleberries. There is several areas that are right off of trails to pick. All you need is a WA state park's pass.

Fall colors are spectacular on the mountain and the Nordic ski trails are the perfect place to get in a hike. Watch out for pitch on shoes and paws this time of year.

It was foggy on the day we were there so there wasn't much of a view but I expect it would be spectacular weather permitting. The trees, though, are gorgeous regardless of the weather. Beautiful trees.

Hiked Mt. Spokane a couple of times this Spring and it was wonderful. Plenty of trails to choose from and at one point, we went to the ski area and just went up a ski slope. While there seemed to be a lot of cars...More

I'm not in the area right now, but if it were me, I'd check out weather and road conditions online or give them a call. Have fun!
