This park in Spokane is amazing. It has all sorts of green space. There is a place to feed ducks and to put your feet in.

We walked in and around the park on a chill January morning and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It is picturesque, clean and tranquil. Lots to see, the Spokane River, local sights and lots of interesting art and sculpture near by.

A wonderful trail, leading to pocket parks, art and wildlife. Bridges across the river give a great view of the cities historic buildings. There are many access points to the streets and convention center. Jog, walk your pet, or meet for coffee on the many benches. Spokane shines here.

We are considering relocating to the Spokane area and were exploring the downtown. Riverfront Park left us with a good first impression. On a weekday in July, the park was full of families and couples strolling. We saw occasional police patrols and felt very safe. The park was clean and inviting. Most of the attractions (carrousel, open air arena) were still closed due to Covid but the playgrounds were accessible and there was even an ice cream truck. The only negatives were considerable construction along the river making part of the part unusable and some hateful drawings and slogans on the steps. The graffiti was in chalk, not spray paint so I am hoping it won't be permanent. We did see a few homeless but less than in larger cities.

Great walking along the river. Gorgeous scenery. Fun art along the way. It would be great in any season.
