I went on a tour with Andrew, Kyleen, Levi and Asia with my son's 5th grade class. These people are friendly, courteous, incredibly knowledgeable. they built curriculum around our study of the Lewis and Clark expedition. I felt safe, despite only kayaking a couple of times and never on my own. I cannot recommend this trip enough. the drive to... More

We took the 3 hour guided tour around Price Island and into the Wildlife Refuge's newly created slough area. The guide helped us every step of the way, from discussing safety to ensuring the equipment fit right. It was a leisurely trip, skirting the shoreline of the Columbia along Price Is. We saw an abundance and variety of of shorebirds,... More

In my 60's and not having kayaked for a while, I wasn't sure what to expect when committing to a 3 day kayaking experience. The outcome was way, way more than I ever would have imagined. For three days, Andrew and Kyleen, and Andrew's son, Connor, led us, stretched us, taught us, and turned us all into advocates for the... More

I've always wanted to kayak and at the same time wanted to introduce my mother to kayaking as well. After finding their website from out of state, I booked their Wildlife Refuge Tour (9 am - 3 pm) and am very glad I did. Asia was wonderful in answering my questions, and reassured me about any potential concerns I had,... More

Kayaking in a gorgeous and historical area. Day trips were led by Andrew, Levi, and Kyleen along the Columbia River and nearby sloughs. They were very patient, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the history of the area. All of them also have excellent kayaking skills. I felt safe with them, even as we kayaked on and across the wide Columbia... More

Absolutely beautiful kayaking on the Columbia and though some of the sloughs. We saw ospreys, cormorants, and bald eagles. Our guides, Josh and Ginni, were professional and congenial, fun and very knowledgable. And patient with some of our inexperienced paddlers. I highly recommend this company!

The Columbia River Kayak tours are exceptional. Andrew and Mark composed a 4 day program that included kayaking and hiking. It was a fun and challenging program filled with incredible detail and stories about the Lewis and Clark expedition. Their kayak skills are excellent, I highly recommend this activity.

Andrew and Asia, our guides, provided a rich experience for our group of 6 women. We had varying skill levels with kayaking and are in our 60's. Andrew was a master at navigating the winds, tide currents and ship traffic on the river! He also shared historical, geological, and environmental stories and knowledge that enriched our experience. We were delighted... More

I'm reviewing here as someone who gifted an excursion for two (my brother and his wife). They had nothing but wonderful things to say about their personalized tour by kayak exploring the Columbia River. The people here are incredibly knowledgeable about what they are so passionate about. I would recommend them to anyone with a sense of adventure.

These folks know their history and wildlife and can make any tour, an hour or a day long, come alive with stories about the region. Hear about the Lewis and Clark expedition, which stayed in the area. Learn about birds and wildlife. Learn how to paddle in a tidal environment. A class operation in a small town that time seems...
