Absolutely love taking my grandchildren on walks here in the morning. Only down fall is the trash left from prior people not cleaning up. Also the past couple of times we have had issues with homeless people.

You cannot go wrong coming to Howard, a min park and using the bike paths from the Marina all the way up to the submarine sail. Attach sticker ride with trees, animals, bikes, people, but not overly crowded. There's a fantastic kids area to play...More

A great park for an afternoon lunch with the kids. Plenty of toys and the kids wading pool offers the opportunity to cool down after much running and playing. Big shade trees for relaxing and enjoying that book you've been meaning to get to

You can put the destinations in Google maps for an exact answer but it's probably around 4 hours to Portland and Seattle from the Tricities which is where the park is. I live 10 minutes from this park and it's very nice. If you will be in tricities you should check it out but I don't recommend driving 4 hours to see it.
