I swam in Hazen pool this summer after they just finished remodeling it. The shower area looked nice and clean. They even have a filter system for drinking water.
Lindbergh pool is just a few miles away and belongs to the same Renton School District. But it’s day and night in comparison to Hazen pool. The shower area has NOT been cleaned in many months! The shower floor and curtains are disgusting with visible stains and Soap Scum.
I am a tax payer like many others, and part of our properties taxes are supporting the public schools. WHY is a facility within Lindbergh High School left uncleaned for months.

Hazen Pool is built into Hazen High School. Its location baffles many internet mapping programs: look for the high school instead. Enter via a driveway near the intersection of Hoquiam Ave NE, and NE 11th Street. This is a late seventies looking pool with six lanes for lap swimming and an adjoining (contiguous) diving pool/deep end. Because the lap lanes are not shared with the diving area, more people can use the pool for more purposes simultaneously. The water is clear and clean, but a few odd bits of debris can be seen on the bottom. The staff do not use the lane barriers unless it is busy. Be aware if you depend on their presence. For a school-associated pool, this one has generous hours, and costs about 4 dollars. The locker room is huge, with 25 cent coin op lockers to which you can not attach your own lock. Sundays can present the swimmer with parking challenges. Plan appropriately. There are a few dedicated parking places for the pool. Handicapped accessible, vending machines offer food only some would want to eat.

I go to Hazen every week to go for swim practice, and Hazen does a wonderful job of keeping the pool clean and safe. The pool is clear, and it has a locker room. The pool is in fact connected to a High School, so the lifeguards are all fairly young. But overall, nice and ok place to swim ( check schedule though).

I love Hazen lets say that first and kids love to swim. Here they can swim all year long. ITs a big pool with lots of space. They do birthday party's and swimming lessons. My daughter has been in swimming lessons for years here. This pool needs donations to keep open please help.

The Renton School District offers public swim lessons. I enrolled my preschooler, who loves it. He's one of five 4-year olds to one instructor. The first day, the preschool instructors had an assistant instructor. The instructors I have observed are very attentive, supportive, and incredibly patient with the kids. I appreciate the extra lifeguards who hover over the pool. Also like how the parents/guardians must watch from the mezzanine instead of crowding the sides of the pool. My only complaint is the temp of the water -- it seems to be inconsistent and often on the colder side.

This pool is a clean, big pool good for kids and adults. One side is not too deep, and the other is deep, good for diving. Would recommend going there for a swim.

Great swim program for kids. By far so much cheaper than other programs we've done, very efficient, hands on with not a lot of idle time sitting by the side of the pool and gladly sign up for more lessons. There are a few teachers that are well known as who to avoid, but for the most part all are great with kids.

Anyone can get an online schedule and come swim for $4-ish. Now that school is back in session, the hours may be different than from summer, but the children will not be in the pool.

The pool is incredible!! The staff were an attentative great bunch!!

I love this pool.... We went weekly - had a great cardio work out swimming laps, jumping off the diving board and just playing in the water in this huge pool (oh! we are both over 45).

There was nothing to dislike!!

GREAT GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO GET EXERCISE
