The Renton School District offers public swim lessons. I enrolled my preschooler, who loves it. He's one of five 4-year olds to one instructor. The first day, the preschool instructors had an assistant instructor. The instructors I have observed are very attentive, supportive, and incredibly patient with the kids. I appreciate the extra lifeguards who hover over the pool. Also like how the parents/guardians must watch from the mezzanine instead of crowding the sides of the pool. My only complaint is the temp of the water -- it seems to be inconsistent and often on the colder side.…

my son took lessons at Hazen and the family joined in for the fun during the public swim sessions. Pool is well maintained and not overcrowded.

This pool is a clean, big pool good for kids and adults. One side is not too deep, and the other is deep, good for diving. Would recommend going there for a swim.

I go to Hazen every week to go for swim practice, and Hazen does a wonderful job of keeping the pool clean and safe. The pool is clear,and it has a locker room. The pool is in fact connected to a High School, so the lifeguards are all fairly young. But overall, nice and ok place to swim ( check schedule though).…

Great swim program for kids. By far so much cheaper than other programs we've done, very efficient, hands on with not a lot of idle time sitting by the side of the pool and gladly sign up for more lessons. There are a few teachers that are well known as who to avoid, but for the most part all are great with kids. …
