Wonderful course

What fun. I was in Pullman for a high school reunion and they set up a golfing activity. I golfed with a family friend and a couple from Texas. The course is challenging but fun. Wonderful views. Nice people in the clubhouse. Recommend when you are in Pullman to give it a try

Love this course. It is challenging but it is also beautiful. Views of the Palouse hills. Club house staff are helpful

Great atmosphere and food
Jul 2019 • Friends
Had a dinner with friends in the evening. Good food and wines. The band was playing classics mainly from 70’s and 80’s. Had to stop and dance few times. Nice pleasant atmosphere and scenery - will be back definitely!

Top Five Course in Washington
Apr 2019 • Solo
I took a short golf trip from Seattle to play Palouse Ridge and Wine Valley, both highly rated courses. Paluse Ridge was the better of the two, hands down. Wine Valley was no slouch, but Palouse Ridge was so memorable! Every hole was different, and I could remember every hole as I drove away. (As opposed to Wine Valley, where I had a fun round, but could not remember a single hole afterwards). Palouse Ridge is a big, burly course, and a real bear in the wind, but it is dramatic and exciting with lots of forced carries and elevation changes.

Non Resident rate is excessive
Jul 2016 • Friends
State tax payers/student fees must fund this course in order to stay in operation.
We played in June on a promo and paid $52 with a cart. We assumed we could get the same rate in July (our fault) We live in Coeurd Alene ID and the non resident fee was $100 which is excessive for the course.
We asked for the $45 local rate and were understandable denied. (Just like in June there were less than 10 cars in the parking lot around 11 am and zero patrons in the restaurant) The pro shop staff was not willing to give us the local rate-we chose not to play.
Palouse Ridge was in good shape and very challenging when we played the course in June however the lay out was marginal compared to Circling Raven Golf Course and it is in the middle of nowhere -Pullman, Washington. They may want to reconsider their non resident rates obviously there are not enough local golfers playing the course. (Maybe to tough for the average local golfer?)
Circling Raven Golf Course is 60 miles north and always in excellent condition. It is a great layout with is a scenic views for $100 with a cart. Great value.

We chose to go 8 miles to University of Idaho course and paid $41 each with car they did not have an non resident charge and it was and enjoyable course with great greens.

What an amazing course! Well designed and maintained. A little more challenging than my golf game could handle. The weather was rainy and cold but it did not detract from the beauty of this course. I want to get back in the summer when the wheat is golden. Wheat surrounds most of the course so it will be amazing. The staff was courteous and restaurant is top notch. They even have a banquet facility there if you want to come with a large group. Very memorable experience.

Great Course But Unfortunate Experience
Apr 2016 • Friends
Had an unfortunate experience with a staff member on the course. He claimed we had fell behind to far and was going to pull us off the course. Told us there was a four hole gap between our threesome and the next group, so we jumped a whole and it turned out the next group was in the middle of the fairway. Really disappointed with how disrespectful this staff member was to us as we play 1 to 2 rounds per week. We will not be returning, instead we will golf at University of Idaho.

Best Course Played out of 9 this week!!
Sep 2015 • Friends
Golf trip to experience 9 courses in Washington and Idaho in 6 days! When I play a course, I always want to remember "that hole". Palouse offers many memorable holes. Challenging and scenic with fast, sharp greens. You won't be bored playing a round here! Nice quiet smooth golf carts. The Pro shop seems academic in nature caters little to the female golfer, providing only WSU themed colours and golfwear.
We relaxed afterwards in the Banners restaurant, which, although a bit pricey, served the best filet mignon, I have ever had. The atmosphere is serene with excellent service.

Well designed course
May 2015 • Friends
The design of the course reflects the Palouse landscape in several ways, mainly in the lack of trees and the gentle slopes. It is a relatively new facility, so it is still unclear whether trees and mature vegetation are in its future. In that regard the nine-hole course at Colfax might for many people be more attractive--just as it is certainly less expensive. The restaurant/bar in the clubhouse is very much worth going to, though a few of the dishes are not quite as well prepared as they used to be (particularly the Asian nachos). There is a driving range and a putting green as well as a separate green for practicing pitches.
