Just happened to walk by and noticed this was sponsored by Western Washington Univ. Since my husband and I met at WWU, we felt compelled to walk in. There is no cost, but donations are welcome. There are several large aquariums with multiple kinds of sea creatures. There is an open "aquarium" where you can touch the creatures. What was... More

This is a little looking place from the street with a Giant Octopus at it's door, however once you get inside it is full of marine information that even goes outdoors to the docks to their classroom within a "waterbottom" boat". It's staff and volunteers are jewels and allow for a hands on experience when you first enter the facility... More

You have to know that it is there or live close by. Sometimes even then, you might miss it. You can learn more about the local marine life at the Center. Then, you can walk to the waters edge and see what you might find!

What a great and knowledgeable staff!! This little spot is a gem! The tank they allow for a "hands on experience" is amazing... Good for all ages!! Every question we had was answered clearly and expertly. While we only spent about an hour there, it was a highlight in Poulsbo!

Large marine science center indoors and outdoor classes. Short visit it all day, plenty to do for sure! You can feed and even pet some of the marine critters.

THE EXPERIENCE: The entire family enjoyed the visit - it offered a great deal in terms of educational value, of course, featuring a cozy theatare, aquarium room with several tanks, and a deck overlooking the sound, all complete with interpretive in. The hightlight of the visit was the Touch Pool with anemones, starfish, and sea cucumber, which hosted by some... More

The only reason i give this place 5 stars is because its free. It is cool that you can get hands on with marine wildlife but thats about it. Very small place and is funded by donations. My kids like it and thats what matters most

Great place to bring kids to introduce them to marine life. Everything in the tank is hands on so kids can touch and pick up the aquatic animals. Best of all, it's free! I just wish they'd expand their exhibits a bit more.

What a great time and nice people. We were geocaching in the area and decided to take a look at the center. It was great and very interactive. Not huge but packed with information. We made a nice donation to help them with their budget. This is very kid friendly and will be a great time for everyone. Enjoy.
