This is a great suburban park with something for everyone. The grounds are beautiful with large expanses of green grass and a variety of different flowers including a large rose arbor. There is a gazebo where they had musicians playing in the day we visited. The view is incredible and there is east beach access

Quite possibly one of the best parks I’ve been to. Quiet and with beach access. I’ve never seen a park quite like this one. I took 20 mins to just sit and listen to the ocean.

Great views, great swings, beautiful views. Park needs enforcement of leash laws and quiet hours! A fun place for kids or frisbee throwing. Great gazebo!

I love this little park that looks out over the water. It is best in spring or summer when the flowers are out (wonderful rose arbor), but even in January I saw children playing and adults relaxing there. There is a path that leads down from the beach, from which one can walk all the way to Fort Worden.

This park is beautiful! It is so well maintained and lovely to stroll through. There is a beach access with stairs to get down to the water, a gazebo, swings, play structures for kids, picnic tables and benches. But my favorite thing about it, is the wooden bench swings! So lovely to sit, swing and look out and enjoy the views.

Chetzemoka Park is just a city block big, barely a speck on the map, and really is not intended to be a tourist attraction. It's a neighborhood park, with swings for the kids, picnic tables, and access to a small rocky beach. It's a place local families bring their kids or their dogs, or their girlfriends and chill out for a few hours. No need to go out of your way if you're just in town as a tourist. You'll spend about 5 minutes walking around the park and getting back in your car.
However, if you're in town for a while, have a dog that needs a walk anyway, or (as you can read in previous reviews) are from a nearby area and are looking for a cozy outdoor spot for your wedding or special event, this park is a lovely place to consider. It's right on the ocean, so there are benches that you can sit on and look out, plus the beach access to swim if you completely lack nerve endings. The grounds are beautifullly kept, and when the rhododendrons and the roses are in bloom, it is gorgeous. The park is set up well for weddings, and I'm sure there are a lot - there is room for a lot of guests, a nice gazebo, and a rose-covered archway you can walk down for the approach.
There is a tiny botanical garden area with a babbling brook running through it, and some places for BBQ. An intermittent trail wanders through the park. This is about as beautiful of a city park as I've seen around, but still no real reason to go here if you aren't planning to chill out in a neighborhood park for the day while the kids play on the swings, or have a wedding. Nice job, Port Townsend - like the rest of the town, beautifully kept. Folks here really take pride in their community.

The first time I walked into chetzemoka park, it was august, about 6:00p.m., it was about 75 degrees and there was a wedding going on. I really felt as though I had stepped into what heaven must be like. There was a harpist playing and children in formal wear, running down the rolling green lawn. The park sits on top of a bluff, as a back drop to the park is the ocean, from the edge of the park you can see fort worden, you also see sail boats, the washington ferry, and occasional freighter and a lot of kayakers. The park itself has something for everyone, swings and small creek that runs through the park, small trails, a picnic area and my personal favorite, wooden swings, that squeak just enough to lull you into a very serene place. Many stressful days have ended at chetzemoka park. Its a hidden treasure that many in port townsend keep for theirselves, so ask for directions or you will probably drive right past it and never know what heaven is like!!!

Beautiful and calm. The ability to swing on the swings and look at the water, the gentle wisps of wind against the face is magical.

Just a few blocks uphill from the tourist drag, you can find this lovely place to enjoy in near solitude. There is a dog park, a kid park, and access to the beach. If up for a 2-3 hour outdoor adventure, you can walk the beach all the way to Fort Worden and walk back via the roads.
