Great historic building!

Wonderful old architecture, sits up on the hill. Lots of history to be had in this old building. Neat place to see.

This is a courthouse like none other I have seen before. You can't tour it, but it's pretty spectacular. The architecture is phenomenal for a courthouse. Has a huge chime clock on it that you can hear anywhere in Port Townsend if the noise is quiet enough. I heard it from the ferry. As a law student I would've have... More

This courthouse is located in Port Townsend but serves all of Jefferson County. It's beautiful brick and fretwork architecture can be seen from almost all over town--uptown or downtown.

This old courthouse is beautiful on the outside. It was fun to walk around inside to look for some of the old architectural details. It is a working courthouse so has offices scattered about the different floors but you are free to walk around to take a look. You are not able to go up in the tower, which I... More

The building is architecturally interesting. The interior is a working courthouse with an extravagant stairway and all of the accoutrements to be expected of an old, original, American courthouse. The people who are providing our community services from their offices in the courthouse are friendly and helpful. It's certainly worth a visit.

My sister-in-law and I were on a 10 day Road trip and drove into Port Townsend. High on a hill was this amazing structure. We had to bet closer. This beautiful, old, well maintained courthouse dates back to the 1890s. We could not help but admire it. Situated up on a hill one can see it from many areas around... More

This is the place to go if you sell your car or boat and need to register it, want to get marriage license, or do any other type of legal matter. It is a lovely historic building. One note, you must enter the building from the side and not up the beautiful majestic steps in front.

This is a beautiful old courthouse, and we could not help but admire it. You can see it from many areas around town. It was built in the 1890's and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The county keeps the court house in relatively stable condition, some of the ceilings look like they are in need of repair. The building is a pretty good thing to visit for tourists though at least architecturally, most of it like the Post Office hasn't been reworked since it was built, or gussied up for that matter, so you can... This is a wonderful place to see old Port Townsend. You can stroll the halls and check out the views from one of the oldest court houses in Washington. The architecture is awesome, worth a few photos.
