We went to this fort at the last minute while vacationing in Port Townsend. Only got to see the light house, interesting. The fort covers a lot of ground so you need tranportation if you want to see much. The DISCOVERY pass lets you park...More

Fort Worden State Park is the former Army base, full of well-maintained original army barracks, officers' quarters, officers' houses, parade grounds and many other buildings. The original commandant's house still stands and is open (fee) as a museum. Well worth the price of admission to...More

Don't miss this! Old military base that has been transformed into a livable community. We happened upon a war re-enactment which was amazing!

Famous for its role in the movie, An Officer and a Gentleman, there's lots of history here to appreciate. We just took a quick driving tour through and glad we did.

The lighthouse and beach area are nice to walk around but that's about it. If it's not crowded, you can find a nice place to sit on the beach and enjoy the views!

Sorry - I don't know their policy about cancellations because I live nearby. Contact them right away though, so someone else can take the spot. They are in high demand I hear.
