Our tour guide seemed to be an expert on all-things capitol building. She even had great story about giving a tour the day an earthquake hit Washington. Another great thing is that the tours are free and run hourly from 10-3.

Lovely buildings and grounds. We followed one of the tours and found it interesting and informative. The granite and the Tiffanys are great.

Have lived here in WA since 93 and had never been to capital. Stick around for the tour given every hour. Worth it. The gentleman we had on Sunday was energetic and really knew his stuff. A must see. Plus parking is free on weekends. Tour is free. Why not.

This is one beautiful building and a must see attraction when your in Olympia. Marble everywhere you can even go into the Governors office and leave a note for him. You may have to pay to park so be prepared. There is a little café downstairs that has great food and is reasonably priced. Hot n cold sandwiches, salads, soups,... More

We make it a point to see the Capitol building whenever we are in a state Capitol city. This building is, without doubt, one of the most beautiful in the country. In fact, I would give is a SOLID five stars if it weren't for the grounds. The Capitol grounds should be an embarrassment to the state and especially for... More

I try to check out the capitol buildings if I am close to one on my travels. This one was impressive. Great little tour. Walk the grounds and check out the memorials too. We were surprised by a deer roaming the grounds.

This is the 41st state capitol we've visited. It's beautiful. There is metered parking along the street. You are welcome to walk around and inside the capitol at your own pace and see it's beautiful architecture.

The Capitol is beautiful with its marble and granite. Tall in stature. We walked up the steps. We did not go inside, but we will be back. Want to take the walking tour.

Walking around the Capitol Campus and grounds in,the spring time is always a good time. The flowers are starting to bloom and you can't go wrong with a visit to the State Capitol.

Washington's capitol building was built to resemble the nation's capitol. Our state capitol makes a bold & beautiful statement sitting proudly upon a hilltop seen from many angles in beautiful Olympia. A large body of water is at the bottom of the hill with a great running path around it. One of my favorite spots is on a bridge (near... More
