The building itself is beautiful. Kind of mausoleum looking and feeling. Has a lot of wonderful historical information though.

This stop made State Capital Building #18. Nice grounds, the stone inside is nice, Did not have time to take the guided tour, just self toured.

Read the literature you are offered or take a scheduled tour. There are multiple buildings on the campus and the staff in every office seems delighted to help visitors get the most of their visits.

So much history here. Walk around and visit the various memorials. Go to the visitors center first for maps and info. The Capitol rotunda often has special exhibits, right now it holds the Christmas tree. All this is free.

Yes, there are elevators! And for going into the building, I think you can go through the gift shop. Sorry for getting back to you late!
