You can go on some of the boats for tours. They have craft tents there during certain community festival events. They also have food trucks, rent row boats etc. A wonderful place to check out.

Lovely views, and at low tide you can often see fish, jellies, crabs, mussels, etc. If you hang out, you also often spot seals and on clear days pretty views of the mountains. Lots of good community events take place here too.

Beautiful waterside park. Unfortunately there are usually homeless people hanging around the restrooms right next to the playground, but we’ve never had any trouble with anyone.

I like the fact that there are different events throughout the year and that as others have mentioned you have local shops and restaurants you can frequent while visiting. You are also able to walk to the Farmers Market or go to some new places...More

Seals eating salmon, Dragon boat races, wooden boat fair, cool sculptures, and good restaurants. The boardwalk is always a great stroll.

There are so many things to see. Once you park you can walk to everything. There are sidewalks everywhere and it's flat so no pushing strollers on hills. There's a great park area for kids and tons of bars and restaurants to stop in. The...More

Great place to spend the day exploring downtown Oly! The bay, locally owned restaurants and shops, museums, and the capital all within walking distance! Also, nice row of antique/flea market shops!

The boardwalk along Olympia's downtown waterfront is a nice place for locals and visitors to stroll. There are art installations along the way, beautiful flowers in the planters that my sister and I enjoyed identifying, a playground, restaurants, a gallery or two, a wine shop...More

One of the few nice things downtown. I like this area and on a clear day you can see the Olympic mountains. I am still cautious about being downtown alone, even in the daytime. Don't feed the birds!

Most maritime towns have a waterfront walk. In Olympia's case it's the old docks, somewhat refurbished, but it's still the center of action of some water-oriented events like the annual wooden boat show. There are a selection of restaurants and other amenities, like the seafood...More

There is some on street free parking as well as metered on street near Percival Landing. The parking, all over Olympia, is free on Saturday and Sunday.

Yes. Olympia does have a leash law, so your dog should be on a leash.
