Simply amazing! The surreal beauty of the bioluminescence is indescribable. Sam was knowledgeable and energetic and very capable -- just what I needed as I had never kayaked before and worried that a three-hour kayak tour might be too much for me for the first time. Happily, this entire group of 10 were all on tandem kayaks. I had my brother-in-law in the captain position and so I didn't have to worry about steering. Also, he is much stronger than I am and I needn't have worried about being able to paddle strongly enough to keep up. Nevertheless, Sam was careful not to go faster than the weakest paddlers in our group could manage. The paddle out was lovely, but I still can't get over the mesmerizing magical beauty of the tiny dinoflagellates. MAGICAL!

We did the bioluminescence tour and it was wonderful! Sam started us out with freshly sanitizer gear and clear safety instructions and we were off. The sunset was gorgeous. We saw Harbor seals and jumping fish and then an easy paddle to a sweet little cove to check out the bioluminescence which was so bright and sparkly and magical. It was so fun!

We took a tour with Sam to see the bioluminescent phenomena of the marine dinoflagellate. He was well organized, informative and highly experienced with navigating and guiding us to the areas where we could see these magical organisms. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and definitely recommend it. Our kids are 11 and 8 years old and are no strangers to adventure so they did great on the tandem kayak. I would recommend this for kids 9 and above since it carries on till 11pm at night. Thanks Sam for the wonderful adventure!

Sam was an amazing tour guide. I think there is a misconception about bioluminescence only being seen in the summer months. We went September 30 not only was the weather on the water amazing the bioluminescence were bright and bountiful. This was a magical experience that words and photos can not do justice it’s just something you need to experience yourself. Go with Sam you will not be disappointed !!!!

HIGHLY recommend the Sunset and Bioluminescence Tour. The sunset/scenery were gorgeous, and after sunset the fun really starts, as the bioluminescence becomes visible - if you want to feel like a kid again (but this time with magical powers ;), this is the tour for you. Sam is a man overflowing with knowledge - flora, fauna, history - he's got it covered! He could answer just about any question, which was a huge bonus. He also took the time to really explain the kayak use/safety, which was much appreciated. A great guide!
