Located just out of the main town, the Lost River Winery was a pleasant surprise. Tasting is complimentary...you get 6 pours....three white and three red. Attendant was knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The prices for the whites are all under $20.00 and the reds...More

My husband and I really enjoyed learning about and tasting the yummy wines at the lost river winery. The hostess was very knowledgeable about the wine and the surrounding area. We liked meeting and talking to others that were visiting also.

Stopped in on our way out of town for a quick tasting at the recommendation of a friend. We were the only customers and I'm pretty sure the person helping us wasn't quite awake yet. Listening to her was like listening to a whiny teenager....More

Oh Winthrop! And this lost river! Everything in Wintrhop is minimal. One winery in town! One bar! One diner! One Mexican spot. One Brewery! And viola! One wineryyyyyyyyy! Oh and January is magic time. It is SO WHITE! So pretty! So magical! What else can...More

We stopped in at the Lost hills tasting room, just outside of Winthrop. The location is easy to find. The tasting room is nice with a small courtyard as well. The wines we sampled were better than I expected. I liked all but one of...More

This is a must stop if you love wine! They have a great wine tasting. Indoor and outdoor seating where you can enjoy a glass. I recommend the "community red" for red wine lovers!

So... we missed visiting the tasting room by about two hours, but as I sit here and write this review, I am enjoying a fine Lost River Wine (the Massif).... I also bought a bottle of the Cabernet and, like the Massif, it is very...More

Note: The retail location is on Route 20 in Winthrop. The Mazama location is the winery itself which I don't believe is open to the public. They make high quality wines from locally sourced grapes. The tasting room is small. The people are knowledgeable and...More

There is never a tasting fee at Lost River; they are usually pouring about 5 different wines at any given time. We've been there several times and always buy a bottle or two of wine, which is generally very nicely made. During our Sept 2015...More

Great place to visit to sample the wares of one of Washington's most respected winemakers, and good place to stock up with local juice if you're visiting Winthrop. A must for wine-lovers visiting the Winthrop area.
