Finding this short drive through experience was a great surprise. The highlights were the giraffes and two hump camels. Your experience can vary depending on which animals are out sunning themselves. This is only about a 10 minute experience but the 4 year old, 10 year old and adults enjoyed the surprise and hey...it was free and on the way to where we were going.

This is a bonus to a road trip through the area. Not a destination. It’s free!!! To those of you with negative comments. Doesn’t have to be free and open to the public. So big shoutout to owners. Stopping here and at Bonniville to see sturgeon break up road trip to the Coast. Free and entertainment.

This was an amazing unexpected find. our 4 year old totally enjoyed this. We have spread the word to friend and family. If you’re traveling it’s a great distraction for the kids. Wish there was a donation box as we would have loved to donated. Will be a regular stop when traveling.

I don’t often write reviews but this was out if the ordinary. I was taking my young daughter to see the animals for the first time on a cold February day so no other traffic in there at all. A man on a four wheeler with a trailer coming down the driveway at full speed who I pull over for thinking he must be in a hurry. So get to the end of the drive and sit to watch the animals. I’m pulled over out of the way no one else there, after 5 minutes the guy is back on the bike and next thing I here shouting to move so I move then he begins to yell at me for even being there to long even thought no other people where driving up. The way he yelled at me at swore was not very polite at all. I tell him he’s being very rude then he really starts yelling and swearing at me so I start to drive away and he is approaching my car still swearing and yelling as I drive away. I have a young child in the car with me and this is unacceptable behavior. If you don’t want people there don’t open your gates to the public. Or have sign posts stating no sitting and looking at the animals. I have been to this park before where people where out of there cars taking photos and nobody said anything to anyone. But today was not my day.

Unless you give a care about yourself then don’t go to this “so called” zoo! The only thing you’ll see is camels and they won’t let you see all the other animals because it’s on a private drive and it says no trespassing… they advertise all the other animals on the website but you can’t see them. Don’t waste your gas.

I advise everyone to only visit this place if you happen to be in the area. It takes about two minutes to drive up the access road and then turn around and drive out. You see some animals if they happen to be near the road. It is definitely not worth it to make a special trip to Schreiner Farms.

Great quick pit stop while passing through, a must if you have kids. Stay in your car, quick and easy and the kids loved the animals. Incredible free activity, a credit to the owners. Thanks!!

As we were roaming along we pulled over at the site of a large herd of buffalo along route 14. Beautiful blue sky, rolling hills. Very romantic western setting with lush green grass. Amazingly as we took off to continue heading toward Portland a man in a flatbed truck honked and beckoned for us to pull over. He got out and walked over to us and said if we really wanted to see something go back a couple of hundred yards to the Schreiner Farm...Small white sign heading east...not seeable going west SO if you get to the MURDOCK town sign you have passed the entrance.
This is private land, free to drive down and they urgently request you not leave your car. We were not the only visitors.
It is worth poking around to find the road. Giraffe, Camel, Zebra and assorted animals that we could not identify.
The land that these animals live on is majestic, overlooking the Hood River.

Fun place but not worth the drive there. I would only recommend if you happen to be in the area or passing by. Price is great (free)

Just East of Lyle WA on Hwy 14. A drive thru/stop/watch animal park that is interesting and free; worth the stop when in the area.
