If you stay at a rental unit here, keep in mind the property is 20 years old and alot of the condos have not been upgraded. If you decide to rent something request a more recently remodeled condo such as D1. They know which units are more updated and if you are looking for nice you need to request that. The location cant be beat though. XC skiing right out the back/front door and miles of trails that connect over to Lake Wenatchee State Park. Fish Lake is less than 5 mi away and they have skating on the lake with free skate rentals. Beautiful area and less than 2 hrs from the Seattle area. Leavenworth is only a 20 min drive further. The condo units are in great condition with not alot of wear/tear considering their age but like I said, you need to request a more recently remodeled unit if you want Foo-Foo accommodation. Also, you need to check if the units have cable/internet reception as each unit is individually owned and not everyone subscribes to those services. This is truly a place based on LOCATION, LOCATION.

My husband and I just spent the weekend at Kahler Glen, and can't stop raving about it to everyone. We stayed in one of the condos on the 3rd fairway and it was breathtaking. We are used to nice accomodations when traveling, but walking into this condo our jaws were on the floor. They are so spacious! We felt spoiled to have all that space just for the two of us. We loved the golfing. This course is not crowded at all. A little hilly, so you might want a cart. VERY reasonable rates. Great course.
We utilized the full kitchen in the condo for most meals. Eating on the large deck overlooking the course was very enjoyable. We had breakfast one morning at the restaurant there, which
we also highly recommend. The chef came out personally and asked us how everything was. EVERYONE IS SO FRIENDLY! This stay was for my husbands birthday, so I called ahead and asked about doing something special. Bill in the pro shop offered to personally shop and put together a golf package for him! We are more than impressed. Everything far exceeded our expectations. In fact, we've already booked another stay!

If you like the 'sound of silence' go and enjoy this beautiful course tucked away in the mountains. Not long, but every hole gives a challenge. Always enjoy the area for the solitude. Well maintained with driving range over water, a full service restaurant and more.

From start to finish the experience was so bad that I've told my friends that I've not played a worse golf course in at least 15 years and I've played a lot of golf.

We arrived at 8am with the front doors still being locked. There was only one person there the entire time and it was a Saturday. When I went to check in and pay she proceeded to tell me that they lost 3 greens during winter and they still charged us full price. The driving range was terrible as well. The greens were like sponges I was leaving foot indentions on the putting surfaces. The tee boxes were not level. The mosquitos were terrible and they didn't bother to give us a heads up about that. And the layout of the course was very confusing with the temporary greens etc. There were groups driving all over the place trying to find the next tee box.

What they need to do is shut the golf course down and do something else. It is apparent they don't have the money to properly care for the golf course and charge people a decent rate. I ended up paying $75 for a full round and 9 holes. I should have only been charged half of that.

We recently stayed at Kahler Glen with a large group. We paid a hefty price since it was during Oktoberfest. The place was big enough to accommodate everyone and the lodge was nice. However, the power went out. It went out for 12 hours. We were not able use any of the amenities and half of our vacation was ruined. Now, I understand and agree that it was not the fault of the resort that the power went out but it was the way the resort management dealt with the issue. Multiple attempts to contact the resort to get a response have gone unheard and it's as if they are avoiding the whole situation. So, if you stay here, BEWARE. If something goes wrong during your stay, be prepared to be left in the dark...literally.

Based on some of the other reviews I had extremely low expectations of my experience here. However, with a smoking deal thru Golf Now we gave it a try. Wow what a surprise! Extremely scenic, somewhat challenging, well maintained golf course. Although restaurant facility is empty (pending permitting?) the pro shop was staffed and lady was very nice. My only knock would be - it would be nice if they had some distance guidance as far as (how far to water off tee of 9, how far to end of fairway on 14 and 18,etc.) Glad some of the others that didn't like it weren't around the day we played as pace of play was great. We enjoyed the experience so much we came back the next day and played again!

Kahler Glen is a fun, no-frills, "mountain" course located next to Lake Wenatchee. Don't expect high-end facilities or TPC-type greens. However, the location and course setting is beautiful, with plenty of challenging holes. The price is appropriate for the quality of the course, and the service is friendly and laid-back. I will definitely return.

This is the second time we played Kahler Glen - once September 2013 and again a week ago. We did not have a great experience last year, but decided to give it one more try as we were in the area. We arrived for our tee time and found the place deserted. No one in the pro shop. Restaurant not only empty, but no equipment, furniture - clearly not operating at all. Finally, someone came in to the pro shop and said, "Yeah?" Not, "Welcome" or "Thanks for coming out", even a "May I help you" would have been great. But, "Yeah?" He was rude and unprofessional in every way. After checking in, another couple came in after to check in. They asked why the restaurant seems abandoned and the same guy (the only guy) said they were closed for the season. To which the couple said, "Closed for the season - isn't the 1st of August the height of your season?" The pro shop guy was the only employee we saw the entire 4 hours we were there. Maintenance was lacking, grounds shabby. They give every appearance of a business on the brink of folding. You would think at a time like this they would be doing everything they could to bring customers in - including a smile on their face and thanking them for coming out. It's sad because the course has such great potential and the area is beautiful.

The Kalher Glen Golf and Ski Resort is a truly beautiful place with a wonderful golf course that is not only a great place to play, it’s fantastic to enjoy the scenery. The price is really worth your time there. Not only golf you could also swim, fish and hike. It’s especially great when the course is really quite because it really allows you to get a feel for the course and really enjoy the scenery. Not only that, the actual club had some lovely décor and I really enjoyed my time at the resort. It’s a fantastic place to go even if you aren’t overly interested in golf. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone going to Leavenworth.

We organized a few groups to play the day before our commitment ceremony and had a total blast! The staff in the pro shop were very friendly and super helpful. The course is challenging, but not too much so it was really fun and made it a memorable and special day for us and our friends who played. It's also nice that they aren't so stuffy and more casual which made it extremely pleasant. It's super reasonable and I would highly recommend paying a visit if your in the area. Was definitely worth it and a beautiful setting too!!
