If you like the 'sound of silence' go and enjoy this beautiful course tucked away in the mountains. Not long, but every hole gives a challenge. Always enjoy the area for the solitude. Well maintained with driving range over water, a full service restaurant and more.

We recently stayed at Kahler Glen with a large group. We paid a hefty price since it was during Oktoberfest. The place was big enough to accommodate everyone and the lodge was nice. However, the power went out. It went out for 12 hours. We were not able use any of the amenities and half of our vacation was ruined. Now, I understand and agree that it was not the fault of the resort that the power went out but it was the way the resort management dealt with the issue. Multiple attempts to contact the resort to get a response have gone unheard and it's as if they are avoiding the whole situation. So, if you stay here, BEWARE. If something goes wrong during your stay, be prepared to be left in the dark...literally.

Based on some of the other reviews I had extremely low expectations of my experience here. However, with a smoking deal thru Golf Now we gave it a try. Wow what a surprise! Extremely scenic, somewhat challenging, well maintained golf course. Although restaurant facility is empty (pending permitting?) the pro shop was staffed and lady was very nice. My only knock would be - it would be nice if they had some distance guidance as far as (how far to water off tee of 9, how far to end of fairway on 14 and 18,etc.) Glad some of the others that didn't like it weren't around the day we played as pace of play was great. We enjoyed the experience so much we came back the next day and played again!

Kahler Glen is a fun, no-frills, "mountain" course located next to Lake Wenatchee. Don't expect high-end facilities or TPC-type greens. However, the location and course setting is beautiful, with plenty of challenging holes. The price is appropriate for the quality of the course, and the service is friendly and laid-back. I will definitely return.

This is the second time we played Kahler Glen - once September 2013 and again a week ago. We did not have a great experience last year, but decided to give it one more try as we were in the area. We arrived for our tee time and found the place deserted. No one in the pro shop. Restaurant not only empty, but no equipment, furniture - clearly not operating at all. Finally, someone came in to the pro shop and said, "Yeah?" Not, "Welcome" or "Thanks for coming out", even a "May I help you" would have been great. But, "Yeah?" He was rude and unprofessional in every way. After checking in, another couple came in after to check in. They asked why the restaurant seems abandoned and the same guy (the only guy) said they were closed for the season. To which the couple said, "Closed for the season - isn't the 1st of August the height of your season?" The pro shop guy was the only employee we saw the entire 4 hours we were there. Maintenance was lacking, grounds shabby. They give every appearance of a business on the brink of folding. You would think at a time like this they would be doing everything they could to bring customers in - including a smile on their face and thanking them for coming out. It's sad because the course has such great potential and the area is beautiful.
