Found The Cheesemongers Shop downstairs and anticipated at least a large selection of cheese. I was extremely disappointed. The selection of cheese is quite small. Many of the items on the shelving (mustards, etc.) are available in my local super market. Lots of beer. Several employees were in view, but basically standing around. Was offered one sample with no courtesy.... More

The girls were having there share of shopping so that when I saw this shop I knew we had to stop. The samples flowed the minute we walked in. Mustard seed cheddar, truffle Gouda, smoked Gouda, and apple smoked cheddar all ended up in our shopping bag. On hindsight we should have bought the dill Havarti too! They cheeses were... More

We had some really great samples, and bought a few different types of cheese. They were very helpful and knew a lot about their cheeses

A bunch of different cheeses and beer, some wine. Nothing major pretty basic. Lots of stairs down a really narrow made it impossible to get a stroller inside.

I love cheese, all kinds of cheese and this place has it all. The staff is SUPER helpful. You can sample any kind of cheese that they have as many different ones as you like. The variety is good, a little pricy for some of the types but that is pretty normal. If you like cheese or want to grab... More

Tucked away on Front Street is a fun little cheese shop. Stop by for service with a smile & yummy cheese samples (ask for your favorite variety). They also sell sausage, crackers and different condiments to complement the cheese. They will even give you a plate and knife with your purchase so you can enjoy your cheese in the park... More

I visited this shop and was rewarded with an excellent experience as the staff person offered tastes of many varieties of cheeses. There was no pressure to buy, but of course when I tried the cheeses I decided I had to take a couple home with me. The cheese selection is very good. The entrance to the shop is small... More

Large selection of cheese with a large selection of samples. The only way to make this place better would be too have wine tasting in the same store. :) Prices not bad either.

We have shopped at the Cheesemonger many times over the years and have ordered cheese to be mailed to us several times. The shop is always extremely busy but the staff have always been courteous, helpful and cheerful. Many times we have tried several different samples at the shop. The employees are very knowledgeable about various parings with other foods... More
