Taking the drive down Icicle Creek in the Fall is one of the most beautiful experiences you can have while in the Leavenworth area. The road follows the creek through the gorge area and there are plenty of parking/pullover locations along the way.

Icicle gorge trail is a four mile loop trail. It is flat and well maintained. The trail starts by the water then moves away from it through trees. It comes back high above the water with nice views looking down into the gorge. Went in...More

Nice hikes and a great drive in fall. If hiking make sure to follow a map closely as signage on trails is minimal.

My BFF and I did the entire 4.2 mile hike. It was lovely. The trail is easy to traverse. Fairly level with lots of resting spots. We took a picnic lunch and ate it on the rocks by the river.

I don't know if it is closed in winter. Maybe contact rangers at Okanogan Watchee National Park. Enjoy
