This is a beautiful little town. My family and I had a great time here. The Christmas lights were beautiful and there is plenty to do and see. But be warned restaurants are very expensive and they definitely need more handicapped parking in town.

We visited for July 4th and am happy to report that the Front Street is now for people to stroll and sit enjoying social distance in safety. It's lovely! Much improved without the smell of gasoline and doors slamming, idling engines waiting for a spot. Now you can see the beauty of the buildings and can shop and snack and sit on carefully placed benches with the luxury of space. Sweet smells, flowers and the sound of music from the park. Please keep it this way!

Really enjoyed walking around the Front Street, and that little park. The city blocked the front street make room for take-out seatings. We enjoyed the Art Gallery in the park, strolling around the stores, getting ice cream, and coffee. People here are nice.
Its a friendly town.

The town is cute with lots of German theme restaurants and beautiful alpine mountain scenery. We visited on Sunday but could not find any parking so we left and went back on Monday and it was not crowded but heard on weekends you cannot find parking.

In the summertime, it is basically a place you walk around and look in trinket shops.

We did have a tasty sausage and beer at the Sausage garden which for two people was a reasonable $30.

The worst thing is parking. If the town authorities and merchants want the tourist the parking needs to be free or easy. The machines are hard to figure out and some don’t work at all. The lots you pay for wit the Venmo app made us undertake when the name Richard came u to pay him $10 for the day. It was not the $10 that put us off but the strange way the app worked it appeared like a scam; we took a chance and paid it.

4 hours is enough time in this to own.

Fun, dog friendly space for relaxing, eating or just walking through. Beautiful scenery and lots of shops. We went during the weekend art fair and found amazing artists selling beautiful work.

I like how the Main Street is blocked off to cars. The extra space was great to walk around and many restaurants put tables out in the street, which enhanced the European feel.

Many tourists are not following the pandemic rules around face masks and being six feet apart.

When snow has fallen, this is the place where everyone seems to gather. Kids and adults can be found sledding here together and having a great time. While we weren't sledding, we enjoyed watching everyone go up and down with both victories (making it down the hill on their feet) and defeat (falling off, not making it to the top of the hill or losing their sleds on the way up). The Gazebo/Band Stand hosts all sorts of gatherings throughout the year, but for us it was a place to watch and enjoy a little bit of heat.

Whenever I think of Leavenworth, I picture this area - the park, the street, the shops. We come to Leavenworth 1-2x a year and we always make our way towards this area. We were just there in January and the lights are so magical. It is definitely the hub for the area for activities (like the ice carving that happened while we were there). I love that kids can sled there during the winter!

Small Bavarian inspired town. The main part of town isn’t very large, but all the buildings have a Bavarian theme. Arriving there for Labor Day weekend, the town was bustling with tourists. Other than look at shops and go to restaurants there is little else to do there. There is a nice walking path that goes along the river.

This is probably our 20th time to Leavenworth and this is our best visit yet. In spite of Covid, the new pedestrian only zone on main street makes it feel so much more European with outdoor seating with umbrellas and no worry about car traffic. It just feels so much better down here now even better than before. PLEASE stay this way Leavenworth!
