Nice easy and safe stroll along the lake

Leavenworth has a beautiful lake with lots of water activities. After dinner, we enjoyed a stroll along the lake.

Very perfect place for different activities such as hiking, biking, picnicking, swimming. I suggest to rent a bike before you head down there and take your swim clothes. You can also rent a tube to go onto the river. Very nice and beautiful.

Having walked through town and all of the shops this was a good short walk to take in the nature scene. Beautiful for the nature lover and photographer. People floating down the river on inner tubes and swimming was neat to see. A small park for little ones to play. A good little area to go to get away from... More

We enjoyed a wonderful morning walk here. There paths are well maintained with signs telling of local history and about some of the plants. The paths are stroller friendly and we saw many people out enjoying a morning jog. Definitely recommend checking this beautiful park out.

Have walked the paths along the river many times and always come back. The water on the rocks, the trees, the air. It's all beautiful.

We have a two-year-old, four-year-old , and a handicapped adult with us and this was a lovely way to spend the afternoon. The main path is wide and graveled and flat with no surprises. There are fences to mark the areas that are dangerous along the riverbank (which is very nice for parents with young children). There are little places... More

Beautiful park with swings etc. lots of historical notices and beautiful views of the river and mountains. Blackbird Island was fun but no sightings of bears. We were asked if we saw any bears and told they are seen there but more likely in Spring. We will be back for sure!

Most people go to Leavenworth to shop and eat; this is an excellent alternative. Except for the entering and leaving, the trails are easy, flat, and well maintained. Great views of the river with informative signs explaining the nature. Be sure to visit Blackbird Island. Looking at the trees it is hard to believe the island is only about 80... More

It is nice place to visit. Near to the city center, it is ideal to walk, play... You can even hire to go down the river.
