- Jenifer H2 contributionsA place we keep coming back to!We have been to the Leavenworth Reindeer farm multiple times now. Every time is a new experience and the kids love it! They have added some new features to their farms that make it a comfortable safe place to experience these wonderful animals. They also provide a great overview of reindeer and a few corny, but great jokes! I highly recommend at least one trip to visit these majestic animals.Visited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 10, 2023
- SC602Scottsdale, Arizona18 contributionsWe loved it deerly!A+ experience. The farm is immaculate and a well run operation. The daughter who gave us the history and information session was impressive! We learned a lot. We went into the cupids corner since we had an 11yo with us and it was wonderful! The reindeer are so sweet and gentle. Justin really knows his stuff too! Very knowledgeable. We had an amazing time. I wish we lived closer because I would go all the time!Visited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 10, 2023
- Theodachia C1 contributionOnce in a lifetimeThe reindeer farm was a once in a lifetime experience. Never been so close to such a beautiful animal. Took my daughter and her partner and my husband to the reindeer farm for my daughters 25th birthday. I would go again and she is looking forward to another trip also. The staff is very friendly and will knowledge about the reindeer. And very passionate about the farm. If you have a chance to go see reindeer I would highly recommend it. Thank you for the experience. Cheers.Visited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 14, 2023
- Pam M1 contributionMagical!Wow! It was a magical, educational experience that I will always remember. My husband and I both learned so much and truly enjoyed being with the reindeer. It is just outside of Leavenworth, WA, and easy to find. The people there really care for the reindeer and for the guests who come to the reindeer farm. We highly recommend it for young and young at heart!!!Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 24, 2023
- Christiane B3 contributionsFantastic! We went with friends to the Reindeer Farm on Nov 3. As locals, we had been before. Since the time when we first visited, the farm has grown and is bigger and better! I think it's awesome that it is a family run business. I love the gift shop-I could spend a lot of time in there just looking at all the great things you can buy! Really enjoyed learning so much about these beautiful creatures. All of the staff are well informed and happy to share what they know about these amazing creatures! Cannot wait to come back to experience the 360 degree theater that will be installed and operational by spring. Great improvements! I highly recommend as people will not be disappointed!Visited November 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten November 4, 2023
- Jess S2 contributionsFestive Family FunWe had such a great time! Upon entering, you can grab yourself a warm drink and treat. Stroll around the gift shop before and after for some very festive items. I didn’t think an hour would be enough time with the Reindeer, but it was plenty. Be sure to wear shoes that can get muddy.Visited November 2023Traveled with familyWritten November 5, 2023
- HstutrudStayton, Oregon10 contributionsGreat time for everyone! This tour was surprisingly fun and informative! Our little group ranged in age from 14 to 78 and we all loved it! If you plan on going in the fall, winter, or early spring, wear waterproof boots or shoes- because you’ll be stepping into the pin with the reindeer and it can get pretty squishy. The staff there really seem to love the animals and are happy to answer questions about each deer and their “quirks.” Bring extra money because their gift shop has a TON of cute items.Visited November 2023Traveled with familyWritten November 5, 2023
- chrisSilverdale, Washington1 contributionA great way to start the holiday season! The people are always knowledgeable about reindeer and always delightful. They are more than happy to share their experiences with the reindeer, university of Alaska, Washington State University and any of the 50 reindeer farms around the country. Erica is particularly high on any ratings scale. We try to go to every year (we got snowed out last year). From youngsters to the elderly it is enjoyed by all. And you get to feed the reindeer! They are friendly and patient. By all means, I highly recommend it!Visited November 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten November 14, 2023
- Jennifer B5 contributionsChristmas Spirit and Family FunWe are a family of 5 who decided to visit Christmas Town for Christmas break. This was the first adventure we had planned for our trip and unfortunately due to weather related delays we were late for our reservation. The folks at the reindeer farm were very helpful and accommodated us with a later time, no issues or problems. The staff was incredibly informative and friendly. The reindeer were what anyone would hope for and our three boys loved interreacting wiht and feeding them. You are provided a lovely overview with fireside warmth as you learn about reindeer and then proceed into the large pen with them. Each guest is given a small cup of food to share with the reindeer of your choice. We had a great time and would recommend this to anyone visiting the area.Visited December 2022Traveled with familyWritten November 16, 2023

They, having always been treated kindly, do not fear us; rather prefer the security of their own kind by instinct. Be aware of the magnificent antlers. My group had a great time!! We visited in July so there were at least four adorable baby reindeer to enjoy along with the rest of the group. All of the reindeer loved to eat out of our hands. They let us pet them, and they ran around the pen a bit too.
The staff were so so accommodating - providing free cold water bottles and lots of food to feed the chickens and reindeer. They were more than willing to help us get pictures with the reindeer and answer questions. They practiced social distancing, wore masks during the presentation, and provided LOTS of hand sanitizer.
We have visited three times now, and this was the first time the family-owned farm's daughter gave the presentation. We all agreed she was the best!! It was easy to see the staff genuinely care for the animals and their visitors.
I HIGHLY recommend booking the earliest tour time available the day you visit! On our second visit, we booked a 1:30pm tour. All but two reindeer were lying down and uninterested in eating any more. The staff said it's because they are full from being fed by earlier tour groups, and they lie down to digest their food. We weren't allowed to pet them when they were lying down either. We couldn't even get pictures because it was a larger group (~35 people) 'sharing' the two standing reindeer. :/

Everyone at the Reindeer Farm were so friendly and welcoming. I have a very active 2 year old who is curious about everything. In the beginning they gave an informative speech about reindeer history, passed around antlers and answered questions- sitting still for longer than 5 mins is difficult for my son. They were so understanding and said we could go play on the swings or sit on the old tractor. He had a blast and created such a fun memory for our family. I highly recommend them and will be making the Reindeer Farm an annual trip :)

We had a weekend in Leavenworth planned and decided to go check this place out. From their website it sounded like they were taking all precautions to be COVID safe, however, when we arrived we saw a massive amount of people joining the same session as us, which made us super wary as there was not enough room to comfortably social distance.
We were also not too thrilled seeing them pass around antlers to everyone in the audience, our family opted to not touch them but I didn't see anyone using hand sanitizer after touching the antlers. My suggestion is to just show the antler, not have everyone touching them...
Getting to go inside and see/pet/feed the reindeer was fun but again, hard to social distance.
My suggestion - reduce the number of tickets you offer per session to allow for proper social distancing. And don't pass the antlers around.

Thank you for review. We understand that during these times, we are going to get feedback regarding our Covid procedures, and sometimes there will be an adjustment we can make, and other times, it will be a situation where we just can't please everyone. In this instance, we decided there was action we can take. While we do allow our guests to hold shed antlers and guess their weight during our educational presentation, we also supply hand sanitizer on every table and encourage its use. We will now hang antlers on the fence instead of passing them around and allow guests who feel comfortable to come up and hold them after their tour. Regarding social distancing, we are ACTIVELY encouraging our guests to maintain 6 ft social distance. We are operating at 25% capacity, and have much smaller crowd sizes than you will encounter at the grocery store or even downtown Leavenworth while walking the streets. Our tours take place OUTDOORS and we require all visitors ages 5+ to wear a mask. Thank you for the suggestions, we are always open to our customers ideas and want our farm to be a fun and safe place for families year round. We have worked tirelessly to adapt to these changing times and still be able to offer the visitor experience we are known for.

My husband and I visited in December, which we knew would be busy. There were online sites saying that you didn't need to buy tickets ahead of time. I searched on the main Leavenworth Reindeer Farm website, and the only tickets that there were listed appeared to be scheduled times to see Santa, and being an adult couple we didn't plan on purchasing a time to see Santa. Like most attractions, I believed there were likely general admission tickets that could be purchased at the farm. I attempted to call, but got a pre-recorded message. We ultimately tried to visit the farm, but were told it was sold out and we couldn't enter. From what we could see, I'm not sure if we would've wanted to pay the money for the Santa tickets to get in. If we had kids we probably would've. Overall, I think the website needs more clarification, or the option to buy general admission tickets. Being a frequent traveler, I don't feel like it was easy to plan this before arriving, and then was dissappointed to find that we weren't able to visit upon our arrival.

At the entrance there was free hot cocoa/cider and some cookies which was nice to have during fireside informative talk.
After the educational talk (which I found pretty informative) we went to see/touch/feed the reindeer. Everyone got a small cup of reindeer food to feed the reindeer, the employees made sure you got more if you want to feed the reindeer multiple times.
We went with a 2 year-old toddler, the employees told us how to protect little one's face from reindeer's antelopes, and which reindeer to avoid with little ones.
For us, getting a picture with Anna/Elsa/Christopher was the best part of our visit (MLK weekend event). If it hadn't been for that event, I would have thought paying 20 dollars for my 2 year old's entrance a bit high (free age was up to 23 months). Discount for toddlers seem more appropriate since families with toddlers don't stay that long (short concentration from little ones...).
The gift shop was very pretty, had many Frozen related items at moderate prices. Very close to main street of Leavenworth. Worth visiting!

My boyfriend and my sister and I visited yesterday and had a great experience! The owners’ daughter gave the intro and tour and I thought her reindeer facts were super interesting for both kids and adults! We really enjoyed our time there and the staff was also super helpful / funny, especially Nick. Everyone seemed very professional and like they really cared for every animal there. Would definitely recommend visitors to check it out, feeding the reindeer was really fun!

We went to this reindeer farm today and had a lovely time visiting. The staff did a great job briefing everyone around reindeer-related safety, and managing the reindeer during the visit to make sure the reindeer were comfortable and the guests were safe.
However, as far as I could tell there is 0 enforcement of their mandatory mask policy. The policy is clear on their website, there are signs everywhere and masks for sale, but maybe 30% of guests did not have masks on for the entirety of their visit. I didn't once see a staff member requesting an unmasked guest apply their mask (and I saw well over a dozen unmasked guests).
There were also several unmasked staff members. Some stayed far enough away from the guests that their lack of a mask could be excused, however I saw two that got very close to guests.
In summary, great place, but they need to take COVID more seriously.

This place was nice the only problem was that they did not enforce people to ware masks. They let in two different families one with two people the other with 5 people and none of them were wearing a mask. This made us very uncomfortable and couldn't enjoy the experience. We left early because of that. We were there on Dec 12th at noon many people were there but it only took a few to ruin the trip. We drove 150 miles to go there so it was a bust. when my wife asked why the would let people in without a mask there comment was we can't ask them if they have a medical condition. That was a bull crap answer. I can't believe that all seven people had any medical issues. So I would recommend if you want to stay safe then stay away from this place.

And we would recommend that if you are nervous about Covid-19, you should avoid traveling and visiting tourist attractions. You should recognize the inherent risk of traveling to places filled with tourists from all over the country instead of taking it out on a small business by leaving a poor review.
Our tour takes place outdoors on a very large farm. If you wanted to practice social distancing, you would have had every opportunity as we were booked at 25% capacity all winter. We won't even get into the economic impacts these restrictions had on small businesses and the amount of family-owned shops in our town that couldn't hang on. Bottom line: 99% of our guests respectfully followed the mask mandate and we did our absolute best during a VERY trying time.

This is a fun little animal experience, but the fact that it's advertised as a "tour" may be a bit disingenuous. We did learn some lovely details about reindeer, but this attraction is probably more directed at small kids (not a problem, simply an observation). I thought there might be more to it, but the "tour" consisted of a 15 minute spiel followed by a period in the reindeer enclosure where we got to feed them and interact a bit. The reindeer are really nice and we visited in the offseason so there weren't any antlers to contend with, but the guides were very helpful about instructing how to interact with the reindeer to stay safe. They were extremely docile and friendly, so safe even for the smallest kids. I'd recommend looking for a bogo code or "return visit" code, which they are pretty open with, as the full price feels a bit high for what you get. I would recommend visiting during your stay in Leavenworth if you're in for more than 1 day.

First time going to the farm. Very neat place overall. Festive feeling! Music playing. Staff were friendly, check-in was quick, tour started on time and was informative yet fun. They have a large gift shop with lots of souvenirs to choose from but they are pricey. We went on Valentine’s Day and it had snowed so it was a perfect setting! You are allowed in the fenced area with the reindeer. You can take as many pictures as you want. You get one very small cup of food to feed the reindeer, most of them will not eat from your hand but you can find the ones who will and it is so cute. Their noses are super soft and furry! You are not allowed to pet most of the reindeer (the reindeer just don’t like it) but an employee will hold one by the reins for a photo-op. There are a couple reindeer who don’t mind their back being petted and an employee can point them out to you. You will get a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows after you leave the farm (back in the parking lot at the stand where you check-in). Make sure to stir the hot chocolate well because it is just a packet and all the powdered chocolate was stuck in the bottom. But it was a nice touch at the end! Overall it was a great outing that I would recommend to friends and family for a short ‘adventure’ while staying in Leavenworth.

Thank you so much for visiting the farm. We are so glad you enjoyed your tour, feeding the reindeer, photos and hot cocoa. We are asking guests to stir their own cocoa so that our staff doesn't touch the end of your straw/stir stick due to Covid precautions. In response to your review of the gift shop, we are so sorry you thought the items seemed pricey. The majority of our custom souvenirs (like antler ornaments, reindeer hair stuffed ornaments, magnets, reindeer stuffed animals, etc) can be purchased for $5-20. We do also carry custom reindeer antler Ulu knives, collectable gnome decor, custom farm merchandise like hoodies, t shirts, hats and more. We didn't know if we would be open for the holidays due to Covid business closures, so we didn't order in our regular quantities. We apologize if the gift shop wasn't full of our normal merchandise during your visit, but I can assure you we thoughtfully price our items so it's affordable for our visitors. Thanks again, and we hope to see you another time on the farm.

the online tours are sold out. Can you purchase in person or is there anything else available at farm to do?

Admission to the farm is by appointment only. There is no public viewing area for non-ticketed guests. We are open year round, with plenty of availability throughout the year during our non-peak season (May - September). Just like the hotels in town get booked up a year in advance for the holiday weekends, our farm tours fill up quickly. We recommend booking at least 30 days in advance to purchase December tickets to the farm.

Yes. Open year round. Tours available Friday - Monday. Schedule and availability is on the website.

“We don’t wave the confederate flag, but who knows we will see what happens during the next civil war.” That’s what opening statement me and my girlfriend of color were met with!! What an outrage, to be met around a campfire with a strange man who is supposed to represent a family atmosphere. This sickened me deeply and we decided not to participate in this event and it’s clear racial bigotry.
We will be writing there owner soon to be reimbursed as this is not the way to conduct business. Just sickened and outraged!!
