Wonderful

Beautiful natural trails through old growth forests. A great place to hike/walk/job with friends, family, or four-legged friends/family. Horses allowed, bikes allowed, tons of trails so allow yourself plenty of time to get lost and wander around.

Beautiful old growth and quiet public trails through donated land..
Jul 2017 • Couples
A man named Putney donated a huge track of land and it's covered with many walking trails. Some is old growth and some secondary growth. The network of trails is extensive. There are several ways to enter the woods. from Lone Lake Road and also from the Saratoga Woods side. It's a great place to run or walk with friends. A real benefit for Whidbey Island. There are signs and trail markings; we did pull out our phone once when we got lost and looked up the trail map online to find our way out. Great addition to Whidbey's nature trails.

Outstanding Trail System - mt. biking and hiking
Sep 2017 • Couples
I had no idea there would be a trail system tucked away on South Whidbey Island, just a couple of miles from Langley. There are miles of trails, well-groomed, through the Cedar & Alder forest. The trails are signed well but you can print out a map from the Island County website. It is called Goss Lake Woods on the site ( former name). Trails on the south end are easier; fine for beginners & intermediate riders. Others are trickier because of many roots and a few steep hills. It also connects with Saratoga Woods for more miles of trails.

Mountain Bike ride to remember
Jul 2016 • Friends
This area of S. Whidbey Island is a heavily forested woodland with packed dirt trails throughout its very large area. Most of the trails have signage so you can find you way around. Wet conditions can make the lower areas a bit tricky but still exciting to navigate your mountain bike through. I always take the Flying Squirrel Trail when I ride here. You get alot of up and down work out and the scenery is very green and ever changing. The local riders and walkers are very friendly and will help you find your way back out again once youve take n one too many trails and git disoriented. Lots of free parking on Keller Rd and Lone Lake Rd
