What a nice suprise, great wine made right here in Olympia. All their wines were great, but I especially enjoyed their "Blend", simple name but nice complex well balanced wine and very reasonable for such a good wine. The owners/winemakers were there too which made the visit all the more interesting, they gave me a peek at their production area too.

We were killing time on an afternoon in Olympia and decided to seek out wine tasting and we were surprised to find Stottle. The Google Maps directions were spot on, but suspect because it takes you into a classic industrial park area and in the middle of the industrial park is where the winery is located, but don't let that dissuade you from going. The wines were great and due to the phase 2 opening process of the pandemic, we happened to be the only ones there on a Friday afternoon. While we were there, a few wine club members came and purchased cases. This tasting room was unique due to the CV-19 requirement and they brought a "flight" of the tastings we requested on a cleverly designed "board". Similar to some beer tasting flights I've experienced before. The wines were explained well and we learned about the growing areas of Washington State. Free tastings with purchases of bottles over $20. Good prices and great wine!

There are several wineries within a few miles in Lacey, Hawks Prairie area. We decided to do our own Wine Tasting Tour on a rainy Sunday afternoon. The Stottle Winery is off Willamette Dr., close to the Shipwreck beads (another fun place to visit). The wines were good, and the owner was very personable and knowledgeable. She showed us the back room where they actually make the wines. There were shirts and gift items for sale, as well as wines, of course. The tasting room was small but tastefully decorated.

Located in a store front in an industrial park there isn't a lot of character to this tasting room. However they offer a nice selection of dry wines made from grapes from eastern WA. The wines are fermented, blended and bottled on site. There were 10 wines available for tasting the day of our visit. The tasting fee is $9 for five samples, waived if you purchase wine costing more than $20. We left with a couple of bottles including a very nice Lucille, a late season Viognier.

We stumbled upon this cute little tasting room passing through town. What a nice surprise. The wines and tasting room were very nice! Our server was wonderful and shared her knowledge of the area and gave us some great recommendations. Glad we were able to squeeze a bottle in our suitcase to enjoy later.

Polite very much, friendly not so much, personable, no. Seemed to be busy with either friends or wine club members at the bar. We did get attention, just not very personal or inviting. Everyone has an off day, we must have hit it. The wines are truly lovely, and we did come home with a Port and a Cab that was very good. Go back..... definitely would give it another visit even if for only the wines, but it would have been nice to learn more about the wines from the staff.
