What a lovely spot to sit and sip a glass of very credible merlot and watch the boats coming and going through the channel. The menu offers wine flights and small bite plates. Perfect glass of wine paired with a lovely meat and cheese plate along with triple creme brie and pepper jelly. …

A significant number of grocery-store type wines being offered which is just plain inexcusable given the extraordinary amount of affordable and great wine being brought into the state as well as being made here. Staff (at least the person who waited on us) was poorly trained and uninformed. The wine selection revealed a lack of knowledge of the industry as a whole. Really quite a sad place for the serious wine drinker to go to.…

Went to a Christmas party last night and there were supposed to be 25 of us according to the person who organized the party. We ended being 18 but there was a few other parties so chairs were at a premium. It was a pretty tight squeeze and once you were sitting down there was very little room to get up and move around which made it inconvenient because the appetizers and wine was walk up and and serve. There a few people who asked the lady to serve the wine because they were boxed in and she kind of just ignored them or once I heard her say I can't because I'm the only one serving and can't leave the table. Response from Anna J, Owner at La Conner Sips

Berries1, Thanks for coming to Sips. This night that you attended was the first, and last time, we have served a group as 'walk up for service'. It did not work very well. Additionally the server you are referring to was not a Sips employee. She was a wine distributor that was there that evening doing pouring only. We definitely learned from this evening. To potentially make matters worse, I heard from a few folks in your party that at least they had the understanding that your group had the whole room reserved for just your group. Oh my. We certainly did not make the arrangement with that understanding. This particular evening is and has always been a publicly advertised 'reservations required' event on our calendar. If this was possibly also what you were thinking we sure started off on the wrong foot. Please come back and introduce yourself again and hopefully we can share a laugh and better time. Best to you.

It’s inviting from the street, clever name and decorating and has numerous selections and choices. The space runs from the street to the water. Children were seated at a table playing games.
