Great little tourist attraction. Not as bright an orange as it was 15 years ago. Bright color is fading.

It’s iconic and fun to see. Looks like it’s ready for a new coat of paint, but it’s something we look for when we visit LaConner.

The bridge is lightly traveled, and if you plan it right, you can get some great photos of the town from the Swinomish Slough side.

A Canadian engineer built this scenic bridge in 1957 that spans the Swinomish Channel connecting the quaint little town of LaConner to Fidalgo Island - home to the Samish Nation headquarters and Swinnomish tribal lands. On clear sky days there are picturesque views of Mt. Baker to the north and south toward the head of Camino Island and beyond. The water front colorful view of La Conner should not be missed if you've come all this way! Takes less than 15 minutes or so to view, but don't be in a hurry! Loved it enough to live nearby.
