About
The Gesa Carousel of Dreams is a world class presentation of a restored 108 year-old Charles Carmel hand carved wooden carousel. The antique horses were individually restored over a 10 year period with loving care to bring them back to life. The facility is open to the public and located in the middle of Southridge Sports and Events Complex along the Highway 395 in Kennewick, Washington. The multi-million dollar carousel is available for rides and photographs. Smiles, laughter and fun memories are provided at no charge. We have a concession stand available in the facility with traditional fare such as burgers, hotdogs, nachos, pretzels, beverages and candy.

    Brass Ring Carousel
The Gesa Carousel of Dreams is a lovely, restored merry-go-round located among some baseball fields in Kennewick. This carousel is one of 14 remaining brass ring carousels in the world. What this means is that, if you sit on an outside horse, an arm dispensing rings will be put out during the ride for you to grab rings from. Every ride, there is one brass ring distributed and the person that gets that ring will earn a free ride. On the opposite side of the ring arm is a place to toss the dispensed rings as you go around. The horses are nice and there are two specialty carvings for the local universities - a cougar for WSU and a husky for UW. This is a wonderful midway piece and well worth a ride. I only wish it was in an area with other activities/scenery, like down by the Columbia. Stop in and enjoy a ride.

    A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE !!!
Prior to a trip from Washington State to Montana to visit our son & his family, I searched Trip Advisor for things to do along along the 3 routes we were offered by our map app. This type of attraction was very popular during my youth. This was the winner: Hands down. Everything & everyone there was wonderful. Molly as a standout. I needed some extra help and she went above & beyond to assist me. The cost of a single ride is quite modest when you consider its duration and the grandiose scale of everything. Discounts are given for multiple coin quantities in one purchase. My son & his family will be visiting us at summer's end. I am going to try to persuade him to stop along the way to allow our 2 year old granddaughter to experience this wonderful place. May it keep pleasing people for generations to come.

    Safe Play for Family
My grandson loves to go to this carousel "park". Good clean fun. Lot's of families stream in and out, but no appreciable waiting in line. Simple treats, like popcorn, available for minimal charge. Highly recommend taking kids to this place. Operators practice safety at all times, too!!

    Historical Beauty
This carousel is a must for kids. I take my eight year old grandson several times a year. He never gets tired of riding the carousel. I understand the restoration process took about ten years. A masterful effort indeed. Rides are inexpensive and they have a small concession stand, too. My grandson gets a kick out of ordering a bag of popcorn to finish the fun.

A Wonderful Time Up and Down
Having visited a number of carousels over the years my expectations were not very hight, however this is a wonderful attraction that just about captivates everyone that comes and rides the carousel. For those of you that are competitive, as you go around and around there are 'rings' that you try to hook with your finger with hopes of grabbing the 'brass' ring when it appears. If you get the brass ring, then you get a free ride. (The typical ride is $3 but if you can spend $20 then you save a little money and get 10 rides.) While our family (with 2 kids) went, we also had friends with us and it was a blast for everyone. It is clean and well maintained with a small concessions stand if you want something to drink or just sit and watch everyone go around and around and around and around...you get the point. :)

    Great fun for the kids
We have been there a few times, most recently because they had a Groupon. They have a Husky and Cougar that you can ride, depending on your school pride. Also great playground and water park right outside!

Family oriented entertainment for the kids... and the young at heart! Be sure not to miss this beautiful carousel!
A beautiful building housing a wonderful, brightly-decorated carousel with exquisitely beautiful hand-painted horses and other "steads" to ride ( there are even animal "benches" for those who can't climb aboard one of the horses) and a beautifully painted ceiling. If you're lucky enough to grab the gold ring, you can even win a free ride! Lots of fun, even for us adults (brings back lots of happy memories!)

Brings out the kid in anyone
We visited with our young grandson and his parents on a rainy winter day. Everyone was delighted. The carousel is beautiful, the building is perfectly arranged for you to enjoy it. The horses have 'real hair' tails, the paint on them is dazzling and it is great to have stationery horses for those who are a bit motion-sensitive as well as the ones that go up and down while you go round and round. Enjoy it with your sweetie, your youngest family member or by yourself. It's fun.
