You can see the animals up close but expensive for the small zoo. The distance from each animals are not far, you can walk around easily.

We usually go to the Woodland Park Zoo. This zoo was much smaller, but the animals were very lively and engaging with the staff. The informational shows were interesting and kept our attention. The shows were about every half and hour. The Bengal tigers were incredible. The parking is free. Microsoft Prime gives a $2 discount per person.

I have lived within 10 miles of The Cougar Mountain Zoo my entire life (50 years) and this was my first visit. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of animals and the accessibility and access to view them closely. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and nearly had the place to ourselves. It's an outstanding, top notch facility offering... More

As other reviewers have noted, this isn't a big zoo but the small size and well-trained, young staff allows for an excellent opportunity to interact in a quality way with the animals. Shows in the park are short but very informative (and stress conservation with some solicitation of contributions). After this day's tiger show we had the opportunity to interact... More

Visiting the Cougar Mountain Zoo is a nice way to view a relatively small number of animals is a well kept setting. It is convenient to the suburbs of Seattle's east side. They have native Washington cougar, a couple of lions, a few tigers, some birds, and llamas. If you are looking for elephants, rhinos, hippos, and snakes, this is... More

Bought a membership to the zoo, we have a 3 year old grand daughter and it the perfect size zoo for younger children. They have a nice collection of Parrots and other birds. Also Tigers. Also a nice collection of Bronze statues.

A very small zoo with a few attractions (ten “worlds” from white Bengal tigers to cougars and a rich variety of macaws), but it is beautifully laid and kept, and with a fantastic view. My 3½ year old granddaughter adored it. Lectures and special activities are offered in the different “worlds” every 30 minutes.

Cougar Mountain Zoo is an excellent getaway for families with Toddlers. We greatly enjoyed roaming this zoo with apple cup in tow to hand feed a variety of different animals. Our toddler was in heaven!

I've been to this zoo before, but at the time, it was kinda small/borinf and was looking forward to leaving ASAP. Re-visited just recently and really enjoyed it! Had my small toddler with me and a baby, they both had a great time. They loved all the bronze statues, we fed the llamas and emu's, they were having tours at... More

Great for children under 5 and for Seniors - there are some hills which would be difficult for a senior with a walker but most is paved and wheelchair accessible. I took my senior mother in a wheelchair and she loved the ability to see the animals from her chair ! Thankful for this local treasure !!!!

Thank Lisa C
