A small zoo, very enjoyable and low key. So much easier to actually see animals up close than big zoos.

This zoo is different from any other that I've been to. It is small and there is a good feeling about it. The staff is so informed and are stationed around the zoo to educate guests about the animals. I wouldn't plan to spend more than an hour or so there, but it is enjoyable. I particularly loved the birds... More

Our family thoroughly enjoyed this zoo! It's small and intimate and easy to navigate and has animals that aren't necessarily exotic but that you don't typically see at other zoos like the reindeer, wallabies, and macaws. And the perk that you get to feed some of them also adds to the fun. When you go, don't miss the little shows... More

You can see the animals up close but expensive for the small zoo. The distance from each animals are not far, you can walk around easily.

We usually go to the Woodland Park Zoo. This zoo was much smaller, but the animals were very lively and engaging with the staff. The informational shows were interesting and kept our attention. The shows were about every half and hour. The Bengal tigers were incredible. The parking is free. Microsoft Prime gives a $2 discount per person.

I have lived within 10 miles of The Cougar Mountain Zoo my entire life (50 years) and this was my first visit. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of animals and the accessibility and access to view them closely. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and nearly had the place to ourselves. It's an outstanding, top notch facility offering... More

As other reviewers have noted, this isn't a big zoo but the small size and well-trained, young staff allows for an excellent opportunity to interact in a quality way with the animals. Shows in the park are short but very informative (and stress conservation with some solicitation of contributions). After this day's tiger show we had the opportunity to interact... More

Visiting the Cougar Mountain Zoo is a nice way to view a relatively small number of animals is a well kept setting. It is convenient to the suburbs of Seattle's east side. They have native Washington cougar, a couple of lions, a few tigers, some birds, and llamas. If you are looking for elephants, rhinos, hippos, and snakes, this is... More

Bought a membership to the zoo, we have a 3 year old grand daughter and it the perfect size zoo for younger children. They have a nice collection of Parrots and other birds. Also Tigers. Also a nice collection of Bronze statues.
