Great Interpretive Center. Big climb up the hill but worth it. The view of the ocean from the top is breathtaking.

Cute little museum covering the cape and the area. Right on top of the old Fort Canby. A short walk from the parking lot. Provides the best views of the cape and the lighthouse.

Great place to learn about the end of the Lewis and Clark Trail. Many hands-on experiences and many comparative displays to assimilate the data. Loved the dugout canoe! Meaningful view of the mouth of the Columbia River. Access to the building is a bit tricky...More

We started out by hiking up to the lighthouse, then came back to the visitor center and toured the old Fort Canby military area. Lastly we went to the interpretive center. It’s a toss up which of the 3 we enjoyed most. The hike to...More

Built over Fort Camby battlements grounds. Road to handicap parking is mostly single lane so be courteous and use turnouts. Remember uphill has right of way. If you are going downhill, please backup.

Like the interpretive centre at Fort Du Bois, the starting point for the expedition, the one here is excellent and well worth visiting if you are into history.

Pros: Easy walk to the center. Slight uphill on the way there and downhill on the way back. ADA access via a separate road. Lots to see here: the fort facility on the exterior, L&C exhibit, maritime/lighthouse exhibit and great little gift shop. Wonderful view...More

I took more than 3 hours to explore what Lewis& Clark did. What I will share, will be just a small part of this history. I recommend to visit the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center. Everything will become easy about this route. They started in...More

To be honest I get bored at a lot of museums and it makes me feel like I’m an idiot and addicted too much to electronics. This museum is inexpensive and is well organized. You follow a path of the expedition down a winding hallway...More
